MVN:
Ten in a row is a tremendous statement for the Lakers and they're exploding with confidence as they head to Portland to face the Blazers. Last night they outscored the Miami Heat in every quarter, on their way to a 106-88 knockout.
The star of the game was Jordan Farmar putting up 24 points in 24 minutes. The kid is hot and just keeps getting hotter, as the 24 last night were a career high for him. Rony Turiaf is also proving his mettle as he had 12 rebounds and 3 blocks in 24 minutes. His play has been paramount in the Laker 10 game winning streak, as he brings energy, enthusiasm and positive energy to the team every time he steps on the court.

The Warriors shot 54.1% from the floor on Friday Night and they outrebounded the pitiful Miami Heat 51-36 which explains this blowout victory. Stephen Jackson led the way for the Warriors last night with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Al Harrington was incredible off the bench as he finished ...
Seriously, Are the Los Angeles Lakers For Real?
We've gotten so used to the Lakers being fairly middlin' the last several seasons, that it almost seems to beg the question:
Can the Lakers really win the NBA championship?

Heat Are the Champions, My Friend
That's not just a bad parody of a Queen lyric, folks, it's the truth. For the next year, the Miami Heat will be the champions of the NBA. Dire as things looked after Game 2 - and really all the way through the first 3+ quarters of Game 3 - the Heat won in six games after all. Despite what Mark Cuban ...

Notes From The Final Whimper
And so the Celtics 2005/2006 season came to an end with a truly fitting whimper - a draft-position-jeopardizing victory against the few brave souls on the Miami Heat roster cajoled into taking the court and risking serious injury days before the start of the playoffs. Thanks to them, the thousands o...
I've got faith in the boys in blue!
The Dallas Mavericks won game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Miami Heat on Thursday night. I was so happy after that game. We were jumping around cheering and celebrating. It felt good to get over the stress of just wanting to come out strong and win this first crucial game. I know we didn't pla...
Shaquille O'Neal Takes Out the Heat; Pat Riley Takes Offense
Shaquille Oneal has nothing but bad things to say about the Miami Heat, the organization he played with for 3 1/2 years, and won an NBA title with.
Shaq took his swipes at the Heat and some of its players while in Boston awaiting Wednesday night’s titanic match-up between his new team the Phoe...
Dwyane Wade: The Silence That Goes Boom
In the post game locker room after a recent Heat loss, one could almost touch the silence. This game wasn’t Dwyane Wade typical. There was no boom. There was no excitement. There was no media throng. There was simply…silence. The man they call Flash was battle worn and slouched in the corner of his locker as if someone had snatched off his mask to reveal the secret identity...
The Rose City is Burning !!
BURN, BURN it all DOWN!
What a game, Lakers vs. Blazers! This time it was on our turf up in the Rose City. The Blazers are back running on 100% again. Everyone is back off the injured list. James Jones and BRoy are back, and boy did it help. Words cannot explain this game, but I sure and hell will try to put it down.
This is a must read!

Five Player Trade Upgrades Heat's Talent, Gives Timberwolves Express Ticket to Draft Lottery
In the wake of an 0-7 preseason and facing the real possibility of not making the playoffs this season, the Miami Heat shipped Antoine Walker, Michael Doleac, Wayne Simien and a conditional first round draft pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Ricky Davis and Mark Blount. It is amusing to see this referred to as a "blockbuster" deal--none of the players has been an All-Star in...
Heat squeak past T’Wolves
Dwyane Wade scores 22 of his game-high 30 points in the second half as the Miami Heat fend off the lowly Minnesota Timberwolves, 91-87.
This was almost the most demoralizing loss in what has been a degrading season.
The Heat welcomed the only team in the NBA with a worse record than them to their h...
