Lakers pull it out against Heat in OT, 117 - 114.

In a back and forth game, the Lakers blow a seven-point lead with less than two minutes and beat the heat in overtime.

Stats: DWade, 35 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, 12-25 from the field, and 11-13 from the line.

Zo: 9 points, 15 rebounds, 3 blocks, countless scowls

Kobe: 25 points, 4 rebounds, 8 assists, 11-24 from the field, and no love from the refs with 3 free throws

Brian Cook: 25 points, 10 rebounds

Random thoughts:

The Phil Jackson Laker teams have never been good at covering the high pick and roll, and tonight was no exception.

Both teams were shooting well, and the Heat finished with 49 percent and the Lakers at 48.5 percent.

If I sent a postcard to DWade, it would probably be delivered at the free-throw line because homeboy gets so much love from the refs. The Lakers, and Kobe in particular, couldn't buy a foul.

Antoine Walker's still alive, and was a spark off the bench with 13 points off the bench, and a few shimmies and skips.

The supporting cast for the Lakers stepped up, as 7 players finished with double figures.

The Lakers are not going to shoot like that every night from the arc (14-25), they need to get to the hoop more.

The Lakers had good spacing in the triangle until the last few minutes of the fourth, when they relied on the give-it-to-kobe-and-watch offense.

Michael Doleac is the best third string center in the league.

DWade gambles too much on defense, but I guess you can when Zo or Shaq is behind you.

White Chocolate had a transition opportunity with the score tied at about a minute left in the fourth... he chucked a three that airballed.

other notes:

smush hit 5-5 from 3pt land, and missed everything else. smush parker licked his mouth after every shot.

alonzo used too much old spice on his armpits, and it appeared white & flaky.

rothstein threw gary payton into the game to guard kobe in over-time instead of sticking with dwade which was a bad move.

shaq got up out of his seat only twice the entire game, once for a time-out, and once to leave after the game was over.

mo evans could have shot a 3pter to win it had he released it quickstyle, but decided to opt for the double pump action 3pter.

on defense, kobe made wade go to his right rendering him somewhat ineffective and more turnover prone.

Shaq looked good in his suit tho. I was expecting Jabba the Shaq.

The defense Kobe played on Wade was a bit overrated. The Heat somehow decided that the high pick and roll that was killing the lakers in the first quarter was no longer needed.

It stopped working because Kobe started guarding Wade and Kobe knows how to get through picks

It's about time that the Lakers finally got a win in this series. Finally, the Lakers showed up, and not just Kobe.

Kobe shut down Wade while he was on Wade. Those refs were terribly one sided. How did the Heat shoot about 20 more free throws than the Lakers. The free throw count was inflated because of the Heat intentionally fouling the Lakers. Overall, impressive win for the Lakers and great showing of man-love for D-Wade. Payton was doing a great job on Bryant. Wade was letting Kobe score at will when he was on Kobe.

Kobe guarded Wade virtually the entire game. Kobe did a good job when it was one on one, with no picks.

I don't know about "at will" but KB24 sure did to be a little bit more agressive when Wade was guarding him, or at least trying to.
