Matt Barnes expecting a payday at season's end

Matt Barnes will be up for a new contract at the end of this season, which looks to be fast approaching for the Warriors, who have found themselves surprisingly in an 0-2 hole against the Utah Jazz. Barnes is probably going to be worth around 5 years and $27 million, a good increase to his situation as of last year, where he was unemployed before the season began. The Warriors will likely have to choose between he and Mickael Pietrus, because Baron, J-Rich, and Adonal Foyle are all taking up considerable cap room.

we are resigning him way before pietrus, but we may lose both since Biedrins will command 50M over 5 years. And Barnes will get more than 27M over 5 years.

That's a risky move to take Barnes over Biedrins, even though he is the better player an contributes more. I just think that Biedrins is their only inside threat and a player like Barnes can be found elsewhere for cheaper or through the draft.

HAAHA....who in their right mind would take MATT BARNES over Pietrus!! thats a no brainer, i would like to see matt barnes last in the NBA for FIVE years!! I give him 2.......and i hope neither are in a golden state warrior jersey!!
