Took a week off blogging and the other fools didn't make any blog entries at all. It's all good. Time to kickstart this thing again. Where did we leave off? Oh, yeah. Offseason deals. ***HEDO TURKOGLU TO TORONTO, SHAWN MARION TO DALLAS, JERRY STACKHOUSE TO MEMPHIS, ETC.*** They convinced Otis Smith to do a sign-and-trade for Hedo Turkoglu. And I think this also nets a trade exception for Orlando? And Toronto still has their mid-level exception. We know Turkoglu going to the Raptors gives them a clutch player and a guy that can relieve Jose Calderon in terms of ballhandling. Marion going to Dallas is a great fit as it gives them a versatile defender and a guy that can finish strong on the break. And those are the only two players that matter. All this talk about exceptions and salary caps and luxury tax is giving me a bigger headache. ***ANTONIO McDYESS TO SAN ANTONIO*** McDyess can still go at this point in his career. He's a big that the Spurs sorely needed and he can still provide double-doubles once in a while. Them Spurs are certainly reloading. A starting line-up of Tony Parker, Roger Mason, Richard Jefferson, Tim Duncan and McDyess... along with a healthy Manu Ginobili as their sixth guy? Plus Dejuan Blair as a second-round steal? Once they fortify their bench a little bit more, the Spurs will be as good as any team in the league. ***RASHEED WALLACE TO BOSTON*** Boston recently released Leon Powe... and Big Baby could bolt the Celtics. But they get an all-around talent in Rasheed Wallace for the mid-level. And he'll be a great force off the bench. Rasheed can spread the floor with his outside shooting and is still a very good defender (when interested). And I'm sure he'll be interested in defense with Kevin Garnett barking mom jokes towards Sheed. ***RETURNS*** Mark Cuban said that Steve Nash was getting older so he let him walk but yet Jason Kidd is 36 and he gave him a 3-year, $25 million deal. Okay! Mike Bibby didn't really get an extravagant deal. This might actually be a bargain for Atlanta. He returns to the Hawks now armed with a new 3-year, $18 million deal. Orlando really wants to go back to the NBA Finals so they matched Dallas' offer for Marcin Gortat. I'll go out on a limb and say his 5-year, $34 million contract is a bit much for a back-up center. Ha ha ha. Grant Hill decided that Phoenix is still good enough to compete (despite what Steve Kerr said) so he re-upped with them. ***WHAT ABOUT L.A.*** Apparently, the Clippers are looking at Allen Iverson. If this deal happens, EXPECT a full-blown blog entry about that. And the Lakers pulled their latest deal for Lamar Odom off the table. Could this be Trevor Ariza, Part 2? Oh, the drama. Stay tuned. ***ANYTHING ELSE?*** Andre Miller is still out there. Nate Robinson has an offer from Greece. Josh Childress RETURNED to Greece. Ben Wallace has been released by Phoenix... and there was a minor rumor about him returning to Detroit. Who said that this offseason was going to be boring? Geez. Look for me on Twitter. I am @TheNoLookPass.
