I think we are going to see Nowitzki get a lot more easy baskets without having to work his butt off for them along with everyone else on the team. Only problem will be at the center position where Dampier is not an elite player. When he gets in foul trouble, which is often, we really don't have another big man to take up that slack.

Unfortunately, I think you are right. Guess we'll see how everything gels once he gets to Dallas, but I can't see them getting past the first round with this team, but stranger things have happened.

Dallas is clearly a better team now than before the trade and join phoenix, LAL, and new orleans amongst elite teams whose defense is based solely on outscoring the other team. throw in dallas utah and maybe houston or golden state oh yeah dont forget about portland and denver and so you have ten legitimate NBA contenders out west. do the math its crazy as two wont even make the playoffs and four others will be out after the first round. its gonna be crazy!!!!!!

i hate to see devin harris leave the mavs because dirk is to sorry of a player to pik up the slack nash left behind. and kidd wont be of any help because he wont be able to guard tony parker or maunu ginoble or any guard that is a quick. Harris on the other hand can run up and down the court with kobe wade nash parker and all of the other guards he may not be able to score like they can but he can bother them defensivly and make it a better outcome on the offensive end. i cant belive you would get rid of him just like that espeacially for some body ten or elleven yrs. older than him that wont be in the nba much longer while harris has time to CONTINUE to grow more than what he has now. Harris will be the next big thing in the nba reguardless of how long it takes him i see harris being in the top 5 guards next to nash iverson parker and billups hell even deron williams and chris paul. this is the worst trade in the nba right next to the suns n heat trade. i dont even see the mavs being in the top 5 teams in the nba on the west. to me its the nugget(only team to beat celtics frm west) lakers hornets spurs and the warriors. i could see if we were getting AI or somebody of that talent but kidd?? this is his THIRD time coming to dallas if he hasnt done anything the other two tyms but cause problems what do you think he will do here again?? this may only work for a few months but i see kidd as a waste of time now. the only player that gets benifits on the kidd trade is JOSH HOWARD he is the only other player that will help kidd get the assist he had in jersey so i expect to see dirk become a fade away as howard grows to be the best player on the mavericks. i see new jersey becoming a franschise untill 2013 when harris' contract expires.
