What I do anticipate being affected are salaries. We've already seen a number of trades this year that were done primarily for salary (luxury cap) reasons. You'd better believe that owners are feeling the pinch too. Hell, if they don't cut salaries, how are they gonna fill up the Gulfstream IV?
We're going to see the top name talent still getting big fat contracts, like CC Sabathia in baseball, then the journeymen and vets are going to see a big drop in their value. Sorry Shawn Marion. You ain't getting the fat contract you think you deserve.
