NBA Defensive POY Award goes to Celtics' KG

Kevin Garnett has come into Boston and turned the team around, just as he promised he would after that blockbuster trade last season. With he and Ray Allen joining Paul Pierce, the Cetics finished the regular season with the NBA's best record and are in the playoffs for the first time in several years. This all started with KG's intensity on the defensive end, which today was recognized by the league as he was named the NBA's Defensive POY over the Nuggets' Marcus Camby and Houston's Shane Battier. Great choice here, now I'm just waiting for either LeBron or Kobe to be named MVP.

KG is the engine that makes this Celtics team go, greatly deserved

Celtics will make it to the NBA Finals

ya so what.....the cleveland cavaliers along with nets, pacers, sixers, mavs have all made "it to the NBA finals" recently

Since it seems like the Wizards will be shoved aside in the first round so far, I hope the Celtics will avenge us.

By KG getting this award, this eliminates him from MVP. It is now a 3 man race between Bryant, Paul, and James.

Probably right. It would be hard for him to get the MVP anyways. Being part of the big 3 takes away from MVP votes.

plus he missed those all games with the back injury

He deserves it.

The man is a beast.

Gave it to the right guy..good luck in da playoffs KG

he will have aring to go with it after this year...

That's a bold statement...we'll see if it turns out correct
