This game is probably the best thing about the entire weekend. No defense and lots of dunks. The Rookies will take on the second year players on Friday night of All-Star weekend.
This is the one All-Star game that athletes love to play in and never bow out of due to injury (if they can help it). I wouldn't expect many, if any spots to open up. My heart goes out to average to below average rookies everywhere.
He is a joke because he has no where the athletic ability to play in the NBA. He is the worst rebounder (for being 6-8) and the worst defender in the league. He is scoring 13.4 points a game, but takes 14 shots a game. He is shooting 32% from 3 point range, but still cranks up 3.5 a game. His PER is 8.77, which makes him the least productive player in the league. And he was picked over guys like Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldridge and Randy Foye. Didn't you say that Mike Dunleavy could straight ball the other day or something like that. These guys are pretty much the same player. White guys that were great in college, not athletic enough to play big minutes in the NBA and most likely got someone fired for picking them so high.
See, this guy irrationally hates Morrison. He goes by a bunch of useless stats that are meaningless because he hasn't watched him play. If it weren't for Morrison, the Bobcats would have 11 wins right now. He isn't the worst defender in the league. You haven't watched him play, so you can't make that judgement. There are lots of forwards worse than him. He isn't no where near the worst rebounder in the league. Bargnani only has a few percentage points on Morrison in both rebounding and FG%, but everyone proclaims him the next Dirk. Morrison is on a team with Okafor and Gerald Wallace, and two great rebounding guards, and one of the best rebounders off the bench. Rebounding is not a focus at his position. Sorry. His FG% is not because he doesn't have athletic ability, its because he tries to hard and is mentally out of focus. Proof you ask? Morrison shoots 43% in road games, but 35% in home games. Thats a product of trying to please the home crowd and rushing shots. Not to mention he gets the ball with 5 seconds left on the shot clock most of the time, but he is a scorer and not a shooter. So he is being used wrong.
Like I said, there are two types of people in the world: those who love Morrison, and those who absolutely hate him. There is no middle ground. You hate Morrison. Admit it.
I have seen him play on a number of occasions. He is by far the worst defender in the league. Since when is re is rebounding not a focus of the foward position? Brevin Knight is a great rebounding guard? If you are going to be incapable of doing anything but scoring, you have to do it well, like Ben Gordon. I loved watching Morrison in college, he was my favorite player to watch last year. I bear no grudge against him. But he is not athletic enough to play in the NBA. He tries too hard? This is the big time.
There are two types of people in the world: Those who love Morrison, and those who absolutely hate him. There is no middle ground.
The people that love him think he can become a star one day. The people that hate him believe that he is the worst rookie of all time and will be out of the league in 5 years.
