When the Suns and the Denver Nuggets announce their plans today to play an exhibition game at a tennis stadium in Indian Wells, Calif., next October, it will mark the first NBA outdoor game of the league's modern era. The stadium is enclosed, and features rows of swanky suites and many other creature comforts of an NBA arena. But the weather — wind and maybe rain — will be a factor for the first time. Good idea or bad idea?

NBA Taking its Game Outside

The NBA will reportedly announce an outdoor game to be played in October of this year, which will feature the Suns and Nuggets. The exhibition will mark the first time in over 35 years that an NBA game has been played outdoors. The event will take place at Indian Wells Tennis Garden in California inside a 16,000 seat tennis stadium.

The Shaq Era Begins...

7:00pm Mountain Standard Time, on ESPN. Mark it down as the beginning of the Experiment in the Desert, also known as Shaq debuting with the Suns. And make no mistake, it is an experiment. Despite all the (now) glowing reviews about the Shaq trade by most fans, the majority of local media, and a smattering of national media, this trade is an experiment. And it's either going...

NBA Plans To Take Exhibition Game Outside

The NBA took notice of the NHL's successful Winter Classic, and is planning to play a Suns-Nuggets exhibition game outdoors at the 16,100-seat Indian Wells Tennis Garden in California. I like that the NBA's imitating the NHL's concept for an outdoor game, but they should go a step further, and take a page out of And1's book. Let's see two teams suit up on a streetball court.

Phoenix vs. LA

I think tonight's game will be very exciting. And although Shaq is getting up in age, I think he still has what it takes to help his new team get to the play-offs. But we'll see how well the Suns gel together pretty soon.

Go Nuggs!

Our Denver Nuggets played hard all game long. If the boys continue to play with that mindset and control we will do even better than we already are. whats up with all the uncalled fouls? Anyway that was a big win for us. Also Kmart being my favorite player you have been playing great. Keep up the good work guys.

Shaq To Make Debut Against Kobe

After two weeks of sitting in gym clothes on the bench, Phoenix's big acquisition is finally ready to play. Tonight, Shaquille O'Neal is expected to make his long awaited debut as a member of the Suns, and he couldn't have picked a better game to make it in. The Suns will host their division rival Los Angeles Lakers, who have been picking up steam in the Pacific Division...

Celtics lose to the Nuggets in a Game of 5 on 8

This game frustrated me to no end watching it. The Celtics played no defense. The announcers were awful. And worst of all, this had to be the worst officiated game in NBA history. There were just so many bad calls that it would be impossible to name them all. It was like one bad or no call after another. In all fairness, not all of them were against the Celtics. The Nuggets got some...

NBA: Shaq to start against Lakers Wednesday

Shaquille O'Neal will be making his first start as a member of the Phoenix Suns against his old team the Los Angeles Lakers tomorrow night. Suns coach Mike D'Antoni announced the news after today's practice.

Comments found around the Nuggets' boards during their game with the Celtics. One thing both sides agreed on: The refs were terrible.
