Orlando Magic guard Mickael Pietrus knows that the best way to guard Kobe Bryant is to think like him. Get inside his head. Walk a mile in his shoes.
Well Pietrus is taking those shoes off.
Pietrus has been wearing Kobe Bryant endorsed Nikes this season but will switch them up for the NBA Finals. Pietrus says he'll be wearing his "Michael Jordan shoes" instead. That will be interesting since Kobe is routinely held up to Jordan's standard. I'm not that keen on switching up your gear like this with so much on the line ... but I can see him working.
There will be that night during the Finals wearing Kobe's is lighting it up. You don't need him smacking you around that you are wearing his shoes. You just showed him that he's the man and you are like a suburban teen.

Most NBA players have there shoes custom made. Pietrus is too cheap to buy his own.

All I can think about is the "Like Mike" movie when the little orphan found a pair of Jordan's and he put them on and immediately he had magical powers on the court. He was asked to play for an NBA team and with those shoes he helped lead his team to the play offs, and in one of the biggest games, his shoes were stolen and his powers were taken away.....now, let me put it how I see it... Peitrus, Kobe's shoes is what got you were you are, his shoes= your ability to perform at a higher level....take his shoes off and that will = doom!!! Even if you are replacing them with Jordan the great!!!! If it ain't broken, don't fix it. Show Kobe that you are better than him in his shoes!!!! Can't wait til Thursday......LETS GO LAKERS!!!

Want a crackpot, out there theoretical on how Lebron James and Kobe Bryant can be teammates with the New York Knicks in 2010? Kobe the Leader.
Watch Kobe. Please do.There is no better closer, no better player, and we are all witnesses to that in this upcoming Finals. Could he lose? Absolutely. Could he win? Surely. But either way, we must appreciate the player he is, and not constantly break down his game into various understandable parts, because that is not an honest way one can examine a player whether it be Kobe or Michael...

"New Yorkers." The one on the right makes self-serving **** too often. If you can reach deep into the recesses of your memory, you might recall that last week, I did an early dance on the Cavaliers' grave, called them underdogs--still not sure if it was a complement or an insult, I just know I am glad they lost--and then went off on a few Magic tangents.
