thanks for opinions/feedback guys/gals, I heard earlier that there is "officially" an offer on the table for Meggette...would love to know the terms per year...just a simple hunch, I can see Posey as a Spur or Laker...not rocket science, as JP will only go to five or six contenders...hope all had good fourth

Orions, great stuff, but I also heard there wasn't an official offer to Maggette in Boston. In addition, I think Posey will get past the salary concerns and resign with the Celtics...He's a winner, and he's already made more than enough at this point in his career.

i've been getting the feeling that either the hornets or the spurs are going to go all out for him, and he'll end up with the hornets. then again, i also had the random suspicions that the nets would try to lure him with the promise of a megastar in 2 years. i don't think he would want to wait that long for another ring.

great point...and I'm a knucklehead; m-A-gette, and I knew him well at Duke!...C's cap nearly maxed out, hence the perfect world scenario of both signing a fantasy...Given, I wrote this right after I heard/saw the "official offer" on that total ESPN channel, ya know, of the espn 2's and "3's" world...133 on local cable...a solid source...I have to see Cblog.com as well...and Globe online...but when I see "official" after the false approach, media reported, to CM a week ago, there's substance behind it this time...I sense this through the force that is Trade/signing rumors arena,: CM, Doc, Ainge, and maybe KG have talked to him on phone, no doubt...these stories can drag out and the money is there...Thanks Odenized, good points

But Posey is a winner, if your looking to score a name and your Memphis or Seattle. Sorry I mean Memphis, then you would give whatever you could to get Magette, but Posey will go to whomever will go to a winner if its only the MLE being offered, same with Magette. But if the Warriors and Sixers have cash and will offer it to them, then They will go there. Look for both to wait until GS and PHilly spends there money. I think it would make more sense for the Celtics to sign Posey because he should be a little cheaper and probably a better role player

Posey is a good player but I think if you look at the whole career its a no brainer Maggette. Ive liked Posey all season for the Celts but lets keep it real until the playoffs most people thought he was still on the Heat .

posey is a different player than corey and has proven his worth. give him the money he deserves it. posey is clutch the kinda guys dont come often hes the new robert horry of basketball.
