Found May 12, 2008 on Fear the Beard:
Paul Pierce was fined $25,000 for the gesture that you can see him make to Al Horford at the 30-second mark of the video above. It occurred during game three of their first-round series with Atlanta. Kurt Streeter of the LA Times threw down his take yesterday. After speaking with him, he has agreed to monitor our comments over at FTB and contribute to whatever dialogue we can muster up. So c'mon and jump!

GatorKGB's Gator Overachievers

This morning's award goes to Al Horford. While I realize that Senor Horford is already legendary in Gator sports lore, this award is not limited to those heretofore unknown or to those helping the less fortunate. I could not help but notice Horford prominently cheering at last evening's Hoops contes...

TJ Ford Injury Update

After suffering another spinal cord related injury when he was hammered by Al Horford, TJ Ford's injury status is murky at the moment. It's unclear how long he will be out, forcing fantasy owners to play the guessing game. The good news is that Ford says he's planning on returning this season. There ...

Al Horford Must Still Think He’s At Florida

I know he's a rookie and this was at the end of a big upset, but this taunt from Al Horford, directed at Paul Pierce of all people, seems to be a little much, considering the Hawks finished 29 games behind the Celtics and are still down 2-1 in the series. Credit to Odenized for [...]

FTW: Al Horford

It would be better with a quote from Horford, but here we go: Al Horford may eliminate any controversy surrounding the end of Wednesday's 127-120 overtime victory over Toronto.Horford told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Thursday that he touched the inbound pass that Toronto's T.J. Ford tipped in at...

Hawks and Heat to Re-Play Final 51.9 Seconds of December 19th Game

In that game, Shaquille O'Neal fouled out with 51.9 second left in overtime. Except he'd only committed five fouls. (NOTE: Insert Mike Woodson treatment of Al Horford here.) Pat Riley protested the game and David Stern upheld a protest for the first time since...David Stern had never upheld a protest...

Al Horford calling all Hawks fans…. Anyone?

If there are any Hawks fans left, Al Horford wants your support.   On March 8th the Hawks and the Heat will be replaying the final overtime seconds between themselves and the Miami Heat from their game back in December.  Now interestingly enough, the reason why this game is being replayed is becau...

Top Fantasy Basketball Rookie Centers

Al Horford, Atlanta Hawks Coming into the season, many draft experts said that Al Horford was the prospect most ready to step in and play right away. Horford has proven that to be true and is now a fixture in the Hawks starting lineup. He's a very solid player who has superstar potential down the lin...

Durant edges Horford for ROY honors

In my year-end awards column, I made the case for Al Horford, but predicted that the sportswriters would go with Durant due to his high scoring average: ROY is a two-horse race between Kevin Durant and Al Horford. There's no doubt in my mind that Durant is going to be a superstar, but Horford has the edge efficiency wise (16.5 to 15.2) and has done it in three fewer minutes...

Meet the Atlanta Hawks

Doc Rivers has said that athletic teams like Atlanta and Washington give Boston trouble. And he's right. With that in mind doesn't this roster beg Mike Woodson to play Mike Bibby, Joe Johnson, Marvin Williams, Josh Smith and Al Horford at the same time and try to run ...

Channing Frye added 14 points and six rebounds, and Joel Przybilla had 12 rebounds for the Trail Blazers (2-1). Round Two, Game Three, LB Sinks a 3

Cut to AC and Fred holding up red and blue Rise-Up T-shirts. Some poor soul suffered through draping 20,000+ T's, alternating colors in each section, over every seat in the Q. Totally worth it. The effect is stunning.
