Petition for NBA to save our pregame pyrotechnics

I actually have to side with David Stern on this one...

We started this in the D and everybody else started to copy........ Just like Stern to mess up a good thing

I think it was dumb of him to say he doesn't want to be "assaulted by loud rap".
If he doesn't know that the NBA and hip hop go hand in hand he is desperately out of touch.

I also like the pyro but I think that a good compromise could be to just save the pyro for the "big" games like opening night/ playoffs/ etc.

Not in Boston, it's not. What do they play before every game? "Crazy Train" and "Welcome to the Jungle." That's right, '80s metal! Go ahead. Call us white. :-D

I watch the games from Oakland so it's a slightly different demographic. Either way - I have never heard anyone complain about the music or the pyro.
As long as it doesn't interfere with the game.

Stern is a pansy

Feel free to sign the petition, I will be sending it to the NBA at the start of the offseason, I'm hoping to have at least 100 signatures.

I have to say, I'm with a lot of these guys: I don't like the fireworks. That can't be healthy playing the opening minutes, if not the whole game, in the middle of a giant haze. It's worse than the old days when all the fans would smoke! Either bring in a proper ventilating system, let the fans and/or the broadcasters and the coaches rip some butts again, or lose the fireworks. What's it gonna be, boys? Decisions, decisions, decisions! :-D
