Prince28's Top 5 NBA Rookies

Now with the NBA's rule that every player had to play at least one year of college ball the rookies have all proven they can play. Here is my list of the best rookies in the NBA though the first month of the season.

1. Al Horford F Hawks: Horford is a double double threat every night. He has had his share of big games as well as he had a 15 rebound game against the Suns.

2. Kevin Durant F Sonics: Durant has the most talent of any rookie but when you shoot 20 shots a game and score 19 a game something isn't clicking. He also hasn't been as good on defense as everyone has thought. Once Durant gets it all together though he will be a great player.

3. Yi Jianlian F Bucks: Yi has adjusted way faster to the NBA than Yao did which shows that he could be a pretty good player. He is scoring 10 a night and is also adding 6 rebounds. Plus he has a sweet jumper from 20 feet.

4. Daequan Cook G Heat: Nobody thought that Cook out of all of the Ohio State rookies to come out that Cook would be the best though the first month. Cook is averaging 10 points a game and is shooting 94 percent from the line.

5. Sean Williams C Nets: Williams is everything the Nets wanted Kenyon Martin to be. He is only contributing faster. Williams is averaging 8 points a game along with 2 blocks and 4 rebounds. Look for him to make some spot starts by the end of the year.

Looks like more people are starting to recognize Horford over Durant. Horford is playing very well and came in without all of the hype.

Seems like Mike Conley fell off the planet. What's up with him?

hes hurt.

cook is looking pretty good right now.

As a Heat fan, I thought they butchered another draft when the acquired Daequan Cook on draft night. Boy, was I wrong! It's early but he looks to have "it." He has a very nice shooting stroke and attacks the basket fearlessly. He's playing with a lot of confidence for an unheralded rookie. I hope he keeps it up.

The kids got a ton of talent, he was just very much over-shadowed by the two other guys at ohio state. If I am not mistaken he was way up there on the top 100 list of high schoolers coming into last year.

Kid can flat out shoot. Riles needs to make sure he stays in the rotation and Smush stays out of it.

Umm, how can you not have Jamario Moon on this list? Have you watched the NBA this year? Seriously, this list is considered garbage unless Moon's name is on it. Dude, buy NBA league pass and watch the guy. Then again, you probably don't even know who I'm talking about. Good post, way to make yourself look dumb.

How does he look dumb?Moon is 27 years old that's 8 years older than Durant. He came from Meredian Community College and averages 8 points a game. See I know who you are talking about.

Moon is doing well. But at 27 he's almost as old as Greg Oden appears to be. Perhaps the writer took that into account or, most likely, he's just a sports lover trying to express an opinion and initiate a friendly discussion.

It's apparent that not everyone takes this as seriously, and as personally as you do. It's not worth bursting an artery and making personal attacks. Sit back, relax and enjoy the game. You'll live longer that way.

For all those who don't know what rookie means, it means, first year in the league. Yes, Jamario is 27, but hes still a Rookie. This article is supposed to be the best Rookies. When you take sports seriously and not laid back like I do, then mediocre information is not giving from a personal bias opinion. Watch Jamario Moon play and be impressed. I don't even really like the Raptors, but give the guy some love for his game. Who cares if he's 27. He's younger than Garbajosa was and he got more love.

"Here is MY list of the best rookies in the NBA though the first month of the season", keyword kid: MY, make your own and shut up.

jamario moon is EASILY the second best rookie in the league right now

the best rookie is still kevin durant!

I got to throw in a vote for Jamario Moon as well. In his starts, he's averaged 10 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1.8 blocks a game. Sure, he's not going to have the best career out of the guys on the list, but NOW he's in the discussion.

Moon is playing very well. I also think Juan Carlos Navarro is one to watch this season.

Juan Carlos Navarro is very talented I also so how he got 27 points against the Magic.
