Jamestime -- you don't recall seeing him playing on the court? He was getting more playing time than Dalmebert during the last part of the season and the playoffs!

Slam Dunk Central:
The “Philadelphia Daily News" has reported that Philadelphia 76ers veteran big man Theo Ratliff is blaming his team’s first round exit in the NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs all on the coaching staff. The Sixers were eliminated in the first round by the Orlando Magic after a hard fought series. For the second straight year Philadelphia gave a much higher seeded opponent quite a scare before succumbing. Consequently though the Sixers did exit in the first round both years.

The coaching staff should definitely be held accountable for a whooping at home in an elimination game against a team missing their two best players. However, I think Ratliff is still emotional from the loss. Hopefully he'll take back his comments. With that said, I don't think DiLeo will be our coach next year. He's a good strategist and game plan coach but I'm not sure that he has a great relationship with all of the players and really has control of the team. He platooned with Jim Lynum and the other assistants for the entire year in coaching the team. So he wasn't really the HEAD coach. Hopefully, the Stefanski can get someone like Avery Johnson who's had some success coaching in this league.

i agree, but it's still the players on the court that didn't show up with any heart in game 6.

It 'a sad time when a player starts blaming the coach, but I don't recall seeing him playing on the court.

yea he was. dalmebert needs to be gone, another as*hole contract by billy king. As for Dileo, never thought he was head coach material. I never seen him mad or in a players face and thats the stuff that needs to happen especially with a young team.

Good points.

I would LOVE to get Avery Johnson. We need to draft or trade for some 3 pt shooters though.

Hey,Let's face the facts Philadelphia 76ers had a Golden Opportunity when Dwight Howard was suspended for that Game 6 and they didn't take advantage of it,So it is a lesson learned...The 76ers are a team on the rise and if Andre Miller decides to stay then the East might wanna watchout come next season and Andre Igoudala #9 ( I can't call him AI,cause there is only one Allen Iverson aka the Original AI..) and the rest of team can get past this lost and learn from it they'll be much better off..Oh Yeah Theo Ratliff is just letting off steam..

Of all the 76ers under contract, center Samuel Dalembert seems to have the most
tenuous situation.
Before the NBA's trading deadline, Dalembert requested a trade, believing he

unsuccessfully, to trade Dalembert, who will be paid approximately $11.4 million

Eddie Jordan linked to 76ers job
On Thursday night, the lights of the Wachovia Center illuminated not only some
very embarrassing 76ers
basketball, but also the potholes - seemingly deeper than expected - that must
be filled this off-season. A week ago, the Sixers looked poised to snag a first-round playoff series, but
that hope crashed and burned, and the ashes revealed a team with an arena full

Howard-less Magic Boot 76ers From Playoffs, Prevail 114-89
The Philadelphia 76ers have always been a competitive team, despite their playoff record recently. And this year’s first-round series between the Sixers and Orlando Magic has been no different. You look on paper and one would think that Orlando would have the decided advantage. But Philadelphia has beaten better teams in the first round in [...]
No Howard, No Problem
Dwight Howard was suspended for the Magic’s Game 6 matchup against the Sixers, but apparently nobody told that to the Magic.
Despite being without their best player, the Magic had their best
game of the series, eliminating the Sixers with a 114-89 blowout in
Philadelphia.
“Personally, I was embarrassed,” said Sixers’ guard Lou Williams after the game....
Keys To Boston Beating Magic? Rajon And Big Baby Need To Step Up
After weighing all the factors I believe that the Celtics will end as the victors of a well fought series but because of the loss of the “Big Ticket” Boston All-Star forward Kevin Garnett there will not be a Big Three this year. Instead Paul Pierce and Ray Allen will need help from else where to defeat Orlando. In this long time NBA observer’s view the two players that will...
Best Playoff Series Ever?
The Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls are playing in one of the greatest NBA playoff series in history. At the very least, it's the best first round playoff series ever. Hard to believe this series still has more basketball to play. The Bulls forced a game 7 after winning an historic game at the United Center in Chicago.
For the first time in NBA history, a playoff series...
Boston Celtics Bring on the Magic Show
C-Nation, I believe that we are in for another crazy fight like the first round with the Bulls that felt like two fighters in the ring exchanging blow after blow. But unlike the Pacquiao/Hatton fight Sat. Night which was over before you could blink --Pac-Man won if you didn't know -- I I'm not so sure that the C's can end the Magic as quickly. Just in case you don'...
