Scouting "Sweet 16" guards

It was a one of the rougher weekends of any player in the NCAA tournament. According this article players who already seem to be qualified for the top of the coming draft:

1. Ty Lawson, PG, North Carolina
Lawson hadn't played since March 8 because of a toe injury, but he returned against LSU with 23 points on 7-for-13 shooting, plus six assists. It was an impressive performance, showing toughness and leadership. In a draft class short on point guards, Lawson has a chance to move himself.

2. Terrence Williams, SG, Louisville
Williams is a senior with a reputation among scouts as more of an athlete than a basketball player,. His 24-point, 15-rebound performance against Siena was one of the best of any player in the tournament, and he's shot 7-for-13 on 3s.

3. A.J. Price, PG, Connecticut
Scouts like his size and pure talent, and a good tournament could give him some momentum. In the first two games of the tourney, he's averaged 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists, shooting 9-for-18 on 3-pointers.

4. Chase Budinger, SG, Arizona
Budinger played 79 of the Wildcats' 80 minutes in the first two games, and scored 20 points with eight rebounds and six assists in the upset over Utah. His game is built on versatility, and he's put that on display. A big outing against Louisville (especially from the 3-point line.

5. Sam Young, SF, Pitt
Young's 14 points and 13 rebounds in the opening round were impressive, as was his 4-for-6 shooting from the 3-point line. But against Oklahoma State, he notched 32 points and eight rebounds. Young is a senior, and though scouts question his shooting stroke, he’s dominating with his athleticism.

6. Tyreke Evans, PG/SG, Memphis
Coach Calipari put the ball in his hands by making him Memphis' point guard. At 6-6, it's doubtful that Evans will be a point guard at the NBA level, but the potential is there. Even if he is not a true point guard, he is only 19 and figures to make an outstanding combo guard. He finished with 15 points and five assists in the Tigers' opening-round win, followed by 19 points and five assists in Round 2 against Maryland.

7. Jonny Flynn, PG, Syracuse
His shot is inconsistent, his drives to the basket are often wild, and, playing in Syracuse's zone, no one can be quite sure what to make of his defense. But Flynn is quick, tough and an outstanding playmaker in a draft that appears long on combo guards but lacking in true point men. Only a sophomore, Flynn said he will return to school, where he'll be able to hone his shot and his decision-making. He had seven assists and just two turnovers in the win over Arizona State, but had seven assists and seven turnovers in the Orangemen's opener.
