Ladies and Gentlemen... get ready to welcome your newest member of the Boston Celtics... Rasheed Wallace!

An NBA source said tonight that Detroit free agent forward Rasheed Wallace has committed to sign with the Celtics on July 8 when free agents are able to sign. Wallace is expected to get a two-year deal using the mid-level exception (expected to be about $5.6 million to $5.8 million).


Oh baby... things just got very interesting around here.

    sheed was actually pretty quiet this last year, it being a contract year and all. i hope he makes up for lost time tho haha. love me some sheed.

    Im happy. I hope KG can light a fire in Sheed to play with intensity every game... not only against contending teams... Im glad that the C's finally did something...

    i definitely want the old Sheed back. Boston is one team that can afford Sheed having meltdowns and getting suspended!!

    Any NBA fan that happened to watch the playoffs saw the need for KG to be on the court. Rondo, R.Allen, Pierce, & Perkins had the pleasure of seeing Big Baby Davis, Powe & others shine in KG's absence but now he's back with Sheed backing up the front court & a defensive stop for D.Howard. We saw the Cavs do the same by bringing in Shaq. The road thru the playoffs could now be Bos or Cleve as both teams got better while most feel Orlando got weaker. Boston is back the NBA should take notice.

    Celtics don't have much to lose by bringing him in and I think he'll help the team.
