Steve Blake, college star at Maryland but journeyman pro, had a career night against the Warriors, outplaying BD and leading the Blazers to first place!

Tell Boom Dizzle what to do with The Beard.
Earlier this season Baron Davis gave FTB permission to suggest some possibilities to him for his vaunted beard right here on Yardbarker. We like a good challenge, but we wanted to open up the discussion a bit and let the Dubtown constituency speak. What should Baron do with The Beard? The all-star break is around the corner and we need to get The Beard on the right path for a monster...
4 in a row now lets go on the road
well once again I was correct in my assumption the blazers would go on another winning streak, but I did not know it would be in such dramatic fashion! My tv went out so I had to watch that double o.t. thriller, on the radio! But alas, we won, so it's all ok. I am expecting good things on this road trip. No less then going 3-4. But most likely, 7-0. The Boston game will be the...

Hello
Been sick lately, but despite the nausea, the game last night still made me cheer, BD was on fire.. I also noticed he moved from #15 on YB to #9 most searched.. go boom diddy, hopefully the all-star numbers get a bump as well.
Also, it might be too early to be talking about this, but just wanna point out that GSW are in the 8th spot in the western conference, let's go for...
The Baron Holds Court
The Warriors got off to a fast start on Friday but needed late plays from their leaders to keep the Grizzlies from getting too close. Baron Davis ran the show, handing out a career high 19 assists. His right hand man, Monta Ellis scored 27 points, only missing three shots.
Battle of the Beards
Caveman scruff vs. Teddy Pendergrass proper. 43 points vs. 19 assists. Whose whiskers reign supreme?
Day 72 of 170: The Day RajaBell.com Went Live
Okay, no, it didn't. Still Coming Soon. Not that it has anything to do with fantasy basketball anyway…
Line of the Night: Raja's website may not be ready yet, but apparently he finally is. Bell tossed in 6 threes on his way to 27 points last night, along with the Marion-like line of 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and a partridge in a pear tree (aka a block). I was somewhat...

Watch the game before you write an article. And edit your title accordingly.
P.S. It's funny to see Portland fans get super happy when Blake has one decent game out of 35, haha. Sorry guys, he still averages 8pts/4.7assts/0.8stls in 30 minutes. I should list the other 33 games he was horrible in(he had another average game against the Bucks), but I'll let you guys have this ONE. Baron outplayed by Blake, pff. Hahhaa, you wish.
The Blazers have beaten the Warriors twice this year, and doing it so relatively easy. All you have to do is attack their big men with buckets in the paint and get Baron Davis and Stephen Jackson frustrated with fouls. They take themselves out of the game. That, my friends, is being mentally outplayed.
Learn something. So, did Blake "outplay" Brandan Wright? Stephen Jackson? Jarrett Jack? Belinelli? Brandon Roy? NO, but he did statistically have a better game than the previously listed.
And how do we have no future when we have the second or third youngest team in the league? You're an idiot, for sure. Instead of just watching the game like the casual fan that you are, decipher the NBA inside - out, then post your comment with some substance.
You are giving Portland fans a bad representation.
Baron Davis and S.Jax have 5+ more good years left, Monta Ellis(future all-star), Kelenna Azubuike is a beast, and if you don't think Andris Biedrins is a "legit" center with the highest FG% in the league(AND he's only 21 yrs. old) then you are one delusional individual. How do the Warriors have no future??
P.S. I left Greg Oden out of the list for Portland's future purposely. Main reason being: He hasn't played a single NBA game. Thus, you have no idea of what type of "future" he beholds. He has proven nothing, except rehabbing on a timely manner.
On the Baron Davis thing, yes he was outplayed statistically but who's had a better season over all? Don't forget about what Steve Blakes stats really are for the season. None the less, go blazers.
And I don't know which sport you watch. But, in basketball, players do not take themselves out of the game - the coaches or officials do. AND what the hell is mentally outplayed? Did the Blazers hypnotize Baron and telepathically make him choose foul somebody?? It's usually referred to as officials call. That, my friend, was an idiotic comment you posted.

Since he got traded to Denver last year I liked him, how he distributed the ball and let AI get to play SG. He had 8.3 ppg. and 6.6 apg. at Denver. He has 10 ppg. and 4 apg. during a 17-1 stretch of games, but if he steps up those stats, he can be better.
Overall I don't think anyone would argue with the fact that Baron is the better point guard, but last night you've gotta give it up to Maryland alum Steve Blake. The guy was money. Even as a Warriors fan, I was bummed to see him leave the game. He deserved a career high (fell one point short) the way he was playing. The Warriors will get the upper hand next time!
No one thinks Blake is better than Davis for 82 games a year.
No one can argue that Golden State is better than Portland, because the record is the record.
If Golden State's GM could trade rosters with Portland, he would.
Blake is a good guy with very little style. Davis is straight pimp.
I'll just need Mike Conley, Sr.'s contact info and we'll get rolling.
Greg? You there Greg?
since he's a little older and more mature than all of us young folk, we should probably listen.
next year, the west will be shaken up a lot, i think. the traditional powers: phoenix, san antonio and dallas are either weakening or getting old as to defy time. next year, i think we'll have the Wild Western conference.
