Sayings become cliches because they are true, they are simple obvious statements of facts that are repeated so often that they become omni-present. Here is one you are surely familiar with "To Be The Man You Have Got To Beat The Man!" Friday night at the "New Garden" the Boston Celtics showed the Cleveland Cavaliers that any NBA title hopes will pass through Boston as the "Green Team" defeated the Cavaliers 105-94. The Celtics were on fire from the floor shooting a molten hot 54.2% (45-83) led by Paul Pierce with a game high 29 points. The victory puts the two opponents in a virtual dead heat atop the Eastern Conference, with Cleveland leading by percentage points.

well, here's my angry take...Stern and the NBA already peg a CLE-LA Final...our Team, to us C's fans, will have to earn it, if "helthey finally down the road, the right way" to ward off the officials, LeBron getting every friggin' call, on and on...Big Baby, ain't no Baby as a side note...Moore outplayed Smith too...good signs...oh yeah, would be nice to have had KG!!! AND SCAL!!! AND TONY ALLEN!!! for that game...AGAINST THE MIGHTY CAVS!!...lol...and did LeBron have an off game or do the C's know how to wipe out his already suspect mid-range game?...anyways, that was the Celts from last year, angry and pissed off at a cocky team that was getting all the hype by most of the country...but as the C's fan's mindset goes, a nothing MARCH Game...but we all could tell, Playoff play is so different from regular season...that was the Celts of 08' last night...I, like that team, can't really say more than that...I hated to mention no KG, but hey...that's all we will hear from Laker's fans about Bynum(who will be back though for playoffs) in a month...and that last game in CLE, sensing massive fight in that one...so, all the haters from LA/CLE...was a NICE little regular season game...I think C's won, cuz of know Ben Wallace, lots of F'ing laughs

"no BWallace typo...ok, on the NE signings...Love Boston always, and everything about it

If the Cavaliers win the NBA title this June, and newly-signed forward Joe Smith plays an important role in breaking Cleveland's 45-year title drought, we might have to revise our whole perception of Cleveland sports. Those of us under the age of 40 have been raised to believe that random good luck simply does not happen to Cleveland sports teams.
