Up in the great Northwest at Steve's Place (Vancouver, Canada) the Sonics beat the Suns, 121-108 to complete the preseason at 5-3 and finally moving on to the real games. The game was very close for the most part, especially in the first half, while in the end Chris Wilcox's 27 points and seven Sonics in double figures (non of whom was named Durant back in Seattle resting his ankle) proved to be the difference; former Sun Kurt Thomas added 19 on 8-12 shooting.

David Stern Is A Hypocrite
Throwing my obvious Suns' bias aside, this is absolutely ridiculous.
Remember all that fuss after Game 4 of the Western Conference Semi-finals, when Amare and Boris got suspended for 'leaving the immediate area of the bench'? And everyone talked about whether Stern should go by the letter of the law or allow a little interpretation? These were some of the Commish&...
Kevin Durant bumped into invisible wall
And he's the "Future?"
Suns (5-2) beat Nuggets on D.J.'s triple
D.J. from three….YEEEEEESSSS ! Strawberry 3-pointer with just (0:03) three seconds left gave the Suns (5-2) a 116-113 victory over the Denver Nuggets in a very enterteining offensive show - or poor defensive outing - last night at the US Airways Center…on the new (looks basically the same to me) wood.
Denver got the usual contribution from Iverson and Anthony as they...
Wilcox Out for Season
Not that it's the biggest deal; the Sonics are not exactly chasing down any playoff aspirations. If anything, it helps the team's goal of losing as many games as possible down the stretch. In any event, Chris Wilcox' right pinkie is hurt enough that both he and the team decided to shut operations down...
The Lefty Guard Barack Obama , Chris Paul, and The Trade Deadline
Embedded video from CNN VideoAs a left handed person, this is the first time I’ve ever heard anything good about a lefty in basketball since Lefty Drizzel. CNN got quite an assortment of former and current players to break down President Obama’s game. They go a little soft on el Presidente, but considering we desperately need a point guard who knows how to pass and screen away...
What happened to Maryland Terrapins basketball?
Hmm, just six March's ago the Terps won the National Championship. Those Terps were led by 3 future NBA'ers (Steve Blake, Chris Wilcox, and Juan Dixon), and everyones favorite "guy who shot his gun off too close to the White House," Lonnie Baxter. People actually feared the turtle. At that time, Gary Williams and his squad were in the middle of an 11 year run of NCAA appearances...
David Stern and the NBA's Double Standard
In both cases, the Suns players walking on the court and the referees stepping into a casino, rules were broken that didn't cause any additional harm except for the fact that the actions went against a preconceived set of regulations. The cause for concern, however, arises when we see that the NBA dealt with both issues in completely opposite ways.
Why Pierce's Injury Could Be Very Real
Aside from the wack officiating in the first half of Game 2, the biggest controversy could be the truth behind Paul Pierce's knee injury. For the past 3 days, I have read so much about it that I don't even know what to believe anymore.
Some say Pierce faked the whole thing, from the crumpling to the floor in agony to the wheelchair shenanigans to his eventual inspirational...
