Suns get big win over Boston

What could have possibly been a preview of the 08 Finals, the Celtics visited Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns. It was one of the most anticipated games of all season for both teams, and pretty exciting.

Boston got off to a pretty sketchy start, didn't score much in the first quarter. They did manage to cut the deficit to only one during a twelve minute offensive drought by the Suns. Phoenix took a thirteen point lead at halftime. And for the most part, it was all Phoenix in the second half.

Final score:

Boston 77

Suns 85

I have to ask, is there bad blood between KG and Amare?

There was a ton of tension from start to finish between the two.

Great game

The Lakers is the best team in the league right now!!!!!!

Well, they're definitely up there but I still want to see how they match up against San Antonio and Boston before I call them the best in the league. Just my opinion.

i agree, although lakers are on a hot streak right now, i'm not ready to call them the best team in the league. The spurs, Celtics, and also detroit (everybody keeps forgetting about them). and to suggest an answer to your kg vs amare tension, maybe because the suns at one point wanted KG and were willing to trade Amare? thats just a guess, im not really quite sure. great game though! i never woulda thought that phoenix could win a game only scoring 85 points! haha

I know! Who would have thought, right? Haha.

About the tension, your guess is as good as mine. Although that explination would make sense why Amare would be fussy, but I would think KG could care less. Maybe it was pure competition, but it just seemed like there was alot of pushing and shoving going on between the two, more than normal.

the Lakers beat the Suns, the Suns beat the Celtics, the Sun play the pistons 2nite we're going to se who wins that game and in plus the lakers still don't have Bynum back from injure their the best team

Well, we see what happened with the Suns-Pistons game... What the??? Detroit's starters went to the bench with 8 minutes left in the game and like a 36 point lead and they still won by 30??? The Lakers and Spurs had to have enjoyed that...

Well this is off subject but I have to ask you...as a Laker fan, would you have rather seen Kobe get the surgery he needs on his finger before or after the playoffs? I can't make up my mind whether that was a good decision or not.

Kobe says he wants to get the surgery after in August, after the Olympics, if I'm remembering what I read correctly. I gotta give him props on sacrificing himself for his team. From a medical standpoint, I'm sure health professionals everywhere are saying it's not a good decision. The other side is that without Kobe, the Lakers, as good as the other guys are playing (with him), are going nowhere. After the acquisitions and improvements this year over last...I totally feel, and admire Kobe for what he's doing. Kobe is on my fantasy basketball team, and when I first heard that he was playing with the injury, I felt that his numbers were gonna go down dramatically, but I am sooooo impressed that he's playing through the pain (he's gotta have some) and doing so well. He is determined to win. I saw him in a game last week dunk the ball with that injured hand (I think the game where he had 41 points)...he's putting it all out there for sure... I enjoyed watching the Lakers victory over the Suns with Shaq, and I hope they get a title this year or next, but it seems like this could be his year. That's a LOT coming from me because I'm a Spurs fan, but I'm a Kobe fan, too, and I really want him to get that ring...

Yea I agree. And I also admire people who aren't die-hard Laker fans who love watching Kobe play, becuase that's rare to find. I hate when he gets booed anywhere other than his home court, the guy is the greatest. There's no need to boo him. But I do know what you mean. The Lakers do need him playing to be contenders and I'm not sure they would have made the playoffs if he had missed those 6 weeks...just because the West is so crazy. you lose a few games and you're knocked out. I just hope for his sake, the injury doesn't get worse before he does get the surgery.

Yeah...I think he's the greatest too, and am glad that he handles the boos the way he does...that's one of many areas where his self-confidence does well for him. :-)

And thanks for the compliment... :-)
