THE NIGHT THE PISTONS DIED

April 24th. A date which will live in infamy.

A date that Pistons fans will remember for the rest of their lives.

The night the Pistons died as a team.

The night the Pistons got blown out by a team that didn't even have a winning record.

RIP Stons

ya think?...only 2-1 and Pistons were sleepwalking last night, with giving Sixers their due props with excellent play and outplaying Detroit...Sixers in seven or Detroit in seven I'm seeing...game four will set the tone for rest of series...it's seems game fours are so huge alot as key game in many series in past...Fun thread, but can never count this proven Piston squad toast until the horn sounds

I admit, the Pistons did play terrible last night, but i think they will win the next one.

I agree with the overall sentiment in the original story. The Sixers have come out strong at the end of the regular season and Dalembert deserves some credit, but it was more a Detroit failure than a Philly success. What happened to Sheed?

They're not out of the series though and I still think they'll win in seven. But after this series, it's hard to say they deserve to be up there with the Celtics.

This series is far from over unless Philly pulls out the next game, then you might be able to start chiseling that headstone.

agreein with fiver on this one its not over yet..... as a sixers fan I can tell ya the pistons always have something left in the tank I've seen it 1st hand the last few times they knocked us out of the playoffs

Lots of playoff experience on the Pistons. I might have to question their desire since they have played together a long time, but the next game should tell the story. Everyone saw how the Spurs turned it on in the first round after virtually being written off late in the season.

The thing with San Antonio is, unless they're YOUR team, you write them off. It's ridiculous considering all the rings they've won, but nobody expects them do to it again and every year the Playoffs come around and they're right there...the same old San Antonio Spurs that we've known since '99. They're a playoff team, plain and simple.

As for the Pistons, they're fine. They played a bad game. No need to panic just yet, they'll bounce back.

Much as I don't like the Spurs, you're right. They know how to get the job done.

C's laid egg and were so outplayed last night...team looked like they had no fire...disappointing...Game 4, as usual, looks all-important...can't wait for next playoff slate today and see if Sixers can go up a huge 3-1, what C's have to do...game 4 huge as well in Big D, as that series has 7 all over it if Mavs win , again game 4...Pistons and C's look similar in lower energy after last night...when I get to sneak on here. here and there, I've said that multiple teams can take trophy...the last time C's won, I "sacrificed my virginity and was helpless(yeah, right)...strange draft yesterday fellas

Celts took a game off, but they will bounce back strong, I'm sure. Those veterans don't like being shown up like that.

sheed happens
