It may not be official. It may not even be completely true, but last night, we may have lost one of the best and maybe even one of the most highly influential players in the NBA. After what appeared to be a pretty severe and scary knee injury last night, Dikembe Mutombo is calling his career "over". Definitely a sad sight to see especially for a guy that seemed almost invincible after all of these years.
Afterward in Houston's locker room, the 7-foot-2 veteran was on crutches and fighting back tears.
