Jason Kidd and Dirk Nowitzki worked out for over an hour, which can only mean one thing.
Don't expect to see much of them, if any, in tonight's game. Still, their pregame sweat (see below) is impressive.

Don't get the idea that the Mavericks are bored with the preseason, but they had a quick little dunk contest after shootaround this morning.
As the players were starting to change their shoes and head toward the bus, rookie Roddy Beaubois came racing to the paint, lifted off and threw down a one-handed jam that impressed everybody.
OK, everybody except Dirk Nowitzki.

PITTSBURGH -- It's still nearly two hours before tipoff at beautiful Petersen Events Center on the Pitt campus and there are two Mavericks on the court practicing.
Jason Kidd and Dirk Nowitzki.
They are shooting 10 jumpers each from various spots on the floor and I haven't seen either one of them make less than eight yet.
Oh yeah, in between sets of 10, they run the length...
