Sports In Your Face NBA:
Please, feel free to send in ones you think are better. When I saw this, I was in AWE. All I could think of was Ode to Rondo and Ode to the back of his head.

Getting Prepared
Just got up from my pre-game nap...thought I would drop yall a few lines. I'm feeling pretty good today. Everything is fine. A lot of people have been asking if my head is okay, and it is. I'm glad we got that W against Detroit the other day. That was a big one for us. We played great as a team...my boy Perk got up that game with 20 rebounds. The collaborative effort...
Rajon Rondo goes all up in the Pistons' grillzzzzzzz
Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo elevates and dominates in the C's win over Detroit Wednesday night.
Let The Playoffs Begin
"I take back my statement that the Celtics can't win a championship in their first year". Of course he was referring to the additions of PJ Brown and Sam Cassell. Now, I'm not making plans to raise banner 17 just yet, but talk about filling in your weak points.
The beauty of these moves are that the Celtics didn't NEED help. They were rolling along just...
Do the Celtics have the Pistons number?
Make no doubt about it, the Celtics were the better team last night. Perhaps the Pistons schedule bit them in the ass as they seem to have played lackadaisically in the first half.
But even if, the Celtics may have found an ingredient the Pistons can't solve. And that is the play of their interior big men. At the Palace a couple of months ago, it was Big Fat Baby Davis who...
Enjoy It While It Lasts
My candle burns at both ends;
It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends–
It gives a lovely light!
– Edna St. Vincent Millay
Enjoy it while it lasts. That is what keeps running through my mind when I think about this Celtics team. This is far and away the best Celtics team since the original Big Three last played together. After beating the Pistons...
Perk Beasts on Boards as Celtics Beat Pistons
Kendrick Perkins was definitely a beast last night as he scored 10 points, pulled down a career high 20 (Yes, TWENTY)rebounds, and blocked two shots to set the tone for last night's win over the Pistons. Perk absolutely dominated Rasheed Wallace who had 23 points but had to shoot 24 shots to get them. He also only managed 4 rebounds.
Rondo showed that he is absolutely capable...
The Moment - Celtics 2008
You just had to be there. And truthfully, I wish every Celtics fan could have been in the house last night when this happened. Up until that point it looked like Detroit might be able to push us out of our game. Billups was starting to assert his will on Rajon Rondo. He was pushing him out of the way, getting to the line, and basically doing what Chauncey Billups does. The man'...
NBA: Celtics take care of business
The Boston Celtics became the first NBA team to clinch a postseason berth, their first in three seasons, and the Detroit Pistons aren't far behind.
Kevin Garnett had a season-high 31 points, and three other Celtics scored in double figures, to help Boston earn a bruising 90-78 victory over Detroit, its closest competitor in the Eastern Conference.
Relative to .500, the...
Detroit, You Have Been Beasted!!! Celtics Clinch Playoff Birth
In what was fitting cap to a spectacular three game run by Our Sensei, tonight he beasted the woeful remnants of the once storied Detroit Pistons with a fierce determination to embarass Rasheed Wallace to grab every rebound. Dear Reader(s), we are happy to report, Our Sensei was more than successful, ripping down a career high 20 rebounds, putting up 10 points and rounding out the...
Pistons, Celtics destined to see each other again
The Celtics beat the Pistons 90-78 last night, becoming the first team in the NBA to clinch a playoff spot. However, this game only served as a dress rehearsal for their imminent meeting in the playoffs in two months.
NBA: Boston Celtics sign Sam Cassell
The Boston Celtics are bringing in veteran point guard Sam Cassell to help guide their team to the NBA Championship. Cassell passed his physical and is expected to join the team in Boston when the Celtics play the Chicago Bulls.
Game Against Detriot
What a great game so far. There has been a couple bad calls and a couple call that should have been called. Like when Rajon keep driving to the basket and he keep getting fouled and they didnt call it. but other then that the Celtics look good. A slow start for you Rajon but you got in a grove at the end of the 1st quarter and the beginning of the 2! I just wont to say in my opinion...
Comments from the Other Side - Pistons
Here are comments found around the Pistons' boards during their game with the Celtics. I think the most interesting one is the comment about Dave Cowens' words before the game that his Celtics would run this Celtics team into the ground. Not exactly what I would expect from him. Great win for the Celtics and fun to see the Pistons' fans playing it down.
Day 128 of 170: The Day the Celtics Clinched a Playoff Spot
Line of the Night: On the night when Boston clinched their spot, and the Jazz won their 17th straight game, LeBron James (6.35) overshadowed both. 50 points and 10 assists will do that. I like how they threw in the interaction with Jay-Z at the end there. I just hope by the time James gets to New Jersey Brooklyn, they can assemble a better supporting cast than Cleveland.
