During Thursday night's blowout win over the Bulls, security was increased around both benches due to a death threat issued to Celtics guard Tony Allen. From ESPN.com: (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4094591)The Celtics and Bulls had extra security around their benches during Game 3 of the first-round playoff series to keep an eye on Allen. A source said the added security presence was a precautionary measure, according to the Globe.Allen, who is from Chicago, played nine minutes on Thursday night and did not score in the team's 107-86 win against the Bulls.Sources told the Globe that Allen has been receiving threats in Chicago for some time. Allen also was threatened prior to a March 17 game at Chicago. He didn't make that trip, however, because of a thumb injury."Is that what you're going to write about? Is that what you're going to write about?" Allen said when asked about the threats, then walked away, the Globe reported."It's a private team matter," Celtics president Rich Gotham told Yahoo! Sports. "It's just not something that we are going to talk about."Celtics coach Doc Rivers told the Globe: "It's a team matter. We will keep it in house."The NBA also declined comment to Yahoo! Sports. In April 2007, Allen was found not guilty of aggravated battery in a Chicago court. That charge was connected to a fight in August 2005 outside a Chicago restaurant.

This Tony Allen death threat story is the final straw for me:...sources say (Allen) has made a very bad enemy in his hometown. Allen had
been the target of alleged death threats for several months now,
sources told Yahoo! Sports, and the Celtics’ visit to Chicago is now
blanketed with around-the-clock protection.

Crashing Down to Earth
Wow. The Bulls really crapped themselves tonight. After two gutsy performances in Boston, they returned home (as 3-point favorites too) to a rowdy crowd only to fall flat on their faces. It was beautiful to watch.Paul Pierce came out smokin'. He went 6-6 with 13 points in the first quarter as the Celtics stormed out to a 32-21 lead. He finished with 24 points on 4-8 3FG.Rondo...
Public Enemy #1
Rajon Rondo remains the focus of the Chicago Bulls. If they have any shot of winning this series, they have to slow down Rondo. Here's the latest out of Chi-town:The Bulls won't win another game in this best-of-seven playoff series with the Boston Celtics if they can't contain Rajon Rondo.
The Celtics point guard has been their best player, averaging 22.7

Rajon Rondo Is Fine
I said somewhere to someone that the Celtics can withstand losing KG better than they can withstand losing Rajon Rondo... and I stick by that comment. So watching Rondo get carried off at the end of the game, after everything seemed fine, was a bit scary. We've kinda gone through it in some of the comments, but Rondo is fine."I was limping and Billy didn't want to...
