TEAMS: Charlotte Bobcats, Utah Jazz
Charlotte brought one of the worst road records in the league to the home of the team with the best home record going, the Utah Jazz. The results - predictable. But there was a brief shining moment in the fourth that almost brought the 'Cats back to the peak.

The plot thickens: Vincent calls out low effort
Although Emeka Okafor's numbers have been fairly consistent, there has been a noticible decline in some of the "effort" areas. Apparently, Sam Vincent has noticed. Saturday night's game against Miami saw Okafor on the floor for only 23 minutes. Are we preparing for the end of the Okafor era?
NBA Draft First Round Notes & Thoughts
Eric Gordon's suit was the worst by far as it was just dumb and shiny and his dress shirt was black and white with vertical stripes and a white collar. He does have a great shooting stroke though that probably won't even come close to helping the Clippers.
How does Jeff Van Gundy think that Stephon Marbury is still a very good point guard in the NBA?

I want to encourage the Yardbarker audience and my fellow NBA players to GET OUT AND VOTE...
The Best and Worst of the NBA Draft
With the draft fast approaching, many fans are wondering what caliber player they can pick up at their slot. Well, I've compiled a list of 1-30, of the best, and worst picks since 2000.
1. Best: LeBron James Worst: Kwame Brown
Kwame Brown is a case-study in dealing with players with fragile mental states. He looked dominant in every pre-draft event I saw, and I didn&...
No way to tell
I was talking to my brother yesterday, also a Utah Jazz fan, about Andrei Kirilenko. He seems to think he's the best thing since sliced bread (why do people still use that phrase, I wonder? I don't think sliced bread's all that cool). But I can't figure out what he's basing this on, considering the g...
Recipe for Utah Victory: Fish and Booze
Carlos Boozer scored 34 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Derek Fisher scored 21 points--including 14 in the fourth quarter--as the Utah Jazz beat the Golden State Warriors 115-101 to take a 3-1 lead in their Western Conference semifinal series. Deron Williams avoided foul trouble and played a solid game: 20 points, 13 assists, six rebounds, though he did have seven turnovers and...
Commissioner Roger Goodell Takes 20 Percent Pay Cut Amidst Layoffs
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell announced today that he is taking a 20 percent cut from his $11 million salary as the league deals with the impact from the economic downturn. The league offered voluntary layoffs, and to date has had 169 personnel do so. The layoffs have come from holding such as NFL Films, which laid off 21 of its 283 employees in March, followed by the league seeking...
Laker vacation plans
As the Lakers plan for the off season, Mitch Kupchak has already come out and said that he wants everyone back by virtue of this comment, "If we did nothing," Kupchak said, "and brought back the players that are our existing free agents, just by virtue of this team aging one more year and getting Trevor (Ariza) and Andrew back, I think we're right back in the hunt...
The Top 5 Clutch Players Of All-Time
1- Michael Jordan
You can sum up MJ's clutch skills in two possessions. 1998 NBA
Finals against the Utah Jazz everyone remembers the shot over Byron
Russell that was a serial killer putting a dagger in the heart, but
what I remember more was the steal of Karl Malone to get Jordan in
position to make that shot. It is the little things that are the
difference between a...
1000 Words: Chris Paul is Disintegrating
You guys, I've seen The Ring. He's got no more than 4 days left. Thanks for showing him that tape, Jazz fans. Babies.
Jazz Win Streak Now At 12, Decimate Pacers 112-100
The Utah Jazz obviously are looking for better playoff positioning as the season is in its twilight.? They brought an 11-game winning streak into Conseco Fieldhouse Tuesday as they took on the Indiana Pacers, who are very much missing leading scorer Danny Granger (torn tendon - foot) and Mike Dunleavy (knee).? But turnovers would prove [...]
6th Man AWARD FAVORITES
1. Nate Robinson - After that great game against the Lakers, He
looks like a super star. The small man is as quick as lightning, and
weaves through all defenses. He could be one of the best players in
this league if he is really on fire. I really like him and hope to see
him be very good in the future.
2. Jason Terry - Playing Really well while Howard isn't playing. He

Celtics Get Jazzed
Deron Williams and the Utah Jazz were too much to handle tonight for the Boston Celtics as they lost 110-92 in front of a packed house at the TD BankNorth Garden on Friday night. The loss for the Green ended their 10-game winning streak.
The Celtics lost Ray Allen at the end of the first quarter wit...
LIghts go out at Staples Center while Lakers and Jazz play
When I was watching the Lakers game play against the Utah Jazz, all of a sudden, the lights go out! During the 4th quarter while they were playing, the lights, not the power, but just the lights go out. All the lights go out. The game was paused for about 2 minutes and then resumed. No one was injured in this incident.
