On today's 400th episode, The Basketball Jones discusses Shaq's verbal attack on Stan Van Gundy, the worst tattoos in the league, the Heat's not-so-hot broadcast team and the most "rightly rated" player.

  • Love Mark Cuban IF you are a Mavs fan, despise him if you are a fan of any other team! I think every fan would love their team to have an owner who is as passionate about his team and stands up for his players like Mark Cuban. I hate him, but respect him.

It was ridiculous for Van Gundy to rip on Shaq for that. Let it go Stan, you won the game. Shaq had every right to respond. Stan should not better than to get into a war of words with the Diesel!

Blazers 107, Pacers 105 Re-Thoughts

There's an elephant in the room and I don't like it so let's turn to it. I feel no need to dissect the foul call. As a fan I don't think you ever want to see a game decided at the line. For a Pacer fan I can imagine it was just an impossible pill to swallow. But when I've learned that when ...

Kobe Bryant welcomes Marta to LA and apparently Amway does too. So does this mean pyramid schemes will slowly make their way into WPS sponsorship? They've already taken over The LA Galaxy, The San Jose Earthquakes, and Real Salt Lake. Well, here's hoping the FC Cougars get sponsored by Blue ...

Thank God Shaq is talking, it?s making the season interesting

Shaquille O?Neal is at it again. Before Wednesday night?s loss to Miami, Shaq opened up a can of verbal whoop-ass on current Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy, whom Shaq played for while with the Van Gundy had accused Shaq of flopping after contact with Orlando center Dwight Howard. After the ...

THE GREAT ARISFLOPPLE

Let the "Hate Shaq Tour" continue, as ESPN.com so kindly puts it. Tuesday night, after the Orlando Magic put down the Phoneix Suns 111-99, Magic head coach and former head coach of one Shaquille O'Neal, Stan Van Gundy, slammed Shaq for his play that night. His play included, flopping on Dwight Howard rather than moving his feet to play defense, racking up his usual...

Cavs: Lucky and good

If the Cavaliers win the NBA title this June, and newly-signed forward Joe Smith plays an important role in breaking Cleveland's 45-year title drought, we might have to revise our whole perception of Cleveland sports. Those of us under the age of 40 have been raised to believe that random good luck simply does not happen to Cleveland sports teams. Sure, the ping-pong balls of...

'Ru Bosh' has a response for Shaq

Shaquille O'Neal has ruffled a lot of feathers lately. Stan Van Gundy's. Dwyane Wade's. Chris Bosh's. And now the replies are being formulated. Chris Bosh has a video blog, which for the most part is boring as hell. But on this week's edition, he does take the time to [...]

Still The One! Red Hot Green Team Sink Cavaliers 105-94

Sayings become cliches because they are true, they are simple obvious statements of facts that are repeated so often that they become omni-present. Friday night at the "New Garden" the Boston Celtics showed the Cleveland Cavaliers that any NBA title hopes will pass through...

Melo’s 38 Allows Nuggets To Crush Trail Blazers 106-90

If Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony?s performance?against the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday was any indication, then perhaps he should suspended for a game a few more times this season; to wit, Anthony was suspended for one game after the Nuggets? game against the Indiana Pacers last Sunday.?
