It's silly that Devean George, who averages 3.6 ppg, has a no-trade clause. But don't blame him....blame the system.
And furthermore.......you sure as hell wouldn't accept a trade to North Jersey, either.

Devean George Blocks Kidd Deal With No-Trade Clause!?!
According to ESPN, Devean George will exercise his rare no-trade clause to block a proposed blockbuster trade that would have sent Jason Kidd to the Dallas Mavericks. We chronicled the trade and its fantasy impact on FBP earlier today , but apparently it is NOT going to go through.

So I wrote yesterday briefly about the Jason Kidd trade to the Mavs, which at the time seemed imminent. However, after a couple of interesting developments, maybe not so much.
Kidd Traded To Dallas
Sources told ESPN.com that the Mavericks and Nets on Wednesday reached an agreement in principle on a Kidd deal after talks had seemingly stalled last week, moving the teams to brink of completing the NBA's third blockbuster deal of the month.
Kidd Deal Blocked
ESPN's Marc Stein is reporting that Devean George is exercising his no-trade clause in order to block the blockbuster deal that would have sent Jason Kidd to Dallas in exchange for George, Devin Harris, Jerry Stackhouse, DeSagana Diop, Maurice Ager and two first round picks.

JKidd has just been picked and blocked by a "B Team" forward. Things just hit the fan. Devean George has control of his contract and he can veto the trade if he does not like how it will turn out. So as of right now Jason Kidd is not going anywhere.
