But there's no way the Blazers have any legal legs to stand on regarding this: "Team Presidents and General Managers, The Portland Trail Blazers are aware that certain teams may be contemplating signing Darius Miles to a contract for the purpose of adversely impacting the Portland Trail Blazers Salary Cap and tax positions. Such conduct from a [...]

WELL SAID SON! Milles has grounds to sue... I live in the Memphis burbs and was listening to AM 730 (chris Vernon show) yesterday or the day before and he was talking about D.Miles doing 360 tomahawks in warm ups and practice and stuff... Knee must be good... They also said he had the biggest diamond encrusted watch they had ever seen before... Looking like one of flava flavs clocks on his wrist full o' diamonds...

Miles just wants to play so he can tell the strippers he's in the NBA. And tomahawk 360 dunks.... he never did those when he was healthy so I don't believe it.

Why is Portland so worried about Darius Miles they let him go because they thought his career was over with,And now that he's soughta healthy you wanna sue any team that thinks of signing him, this is Ridiculous..If he is Healthy then why can't he play?

It may be because a doctor declared him physically unfit to play. That's why the Blazers let him go in the first place. And it wasn't the Blazers doctor, it was one appointed by the league.

he was cut by the MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES! they don't have a use for you on that team, what other team in the league would (maybe okc and i say that very hesitantly as they are trying to go younger)? and who cares about 360 tomahawks in practice?
but i can't decide whether this was smart or shady, sometimes good business moves walk the line between the two. i'm thinkin it was said mainly to dissuade any team from doing it and portland doesn't really have any intention of taking legal action if another team signs him (at least i hope not), cause they would surely lose.

Somewhere out there a labor attorney is drafting a case against Paul Allen on young Darius' behalf.

Pretty sure that it is illegal for them to attempt to stymie Darius' efforts to gain employment in the NBA by threatening a lawsuit to deter teams from hiring and playing him.

I think it is now the DUTY of some Western Conference team to sign Darius to a 10-day contract and play him a couple games. Hell, put him on the Knicks for a few games so he and Q can get their martian antenna head bump going on again.
