Slam Dunk Central:
Alonzo Mourning played 15 years in the NBA, starting with the Charlotte Hornets, a stint with the New Jersey Nets for two seasons, and the rest of his career with the Miami Heat. Ironically the former Georgetown star, never played for the franchise that team's nick name best personified him, the Warriors. The Associated Press reported Thursday that the veteran announced his retirement from the Association, ending speculation that he would attempt another comeback after the horrific right leg injury he suffered last season ending his campaign, and ultimately his career.

The Master Blaster: Patrick Ewing Jr. Dunk on Brook Lopez....
In case you missed it, Patrick Ewing Jr had a pretty cool dunk last night against the New Jersey Nets. The commentators as usual making me laugh especially Walt Clyde Frazier. I just hope he makes the team, and the Knicks get rid of the real garbage on the team like Jerome James and Jarred Jeffries... Note: Marbury is not a problem. Eddy Curry needs a new diet or something. I...
Draft Grades - Western Conference
Here's my take on how all the teams in the West fared on Thursday:Minnesota: A-McHale made no bones about his "love" for Love. There was some talk that he might take him with #3, but for the first time in his tenure as GM, McHale outsmarted someone. He managed to get Love and a perenially underrated Mike Miller. In the process, he also dumped an unhappy Marco Jaric...
If you think that's bad…
I am the only New Jersey Nets fans who didn't know but I just found out about the Vince Carter statue scandal. Apparently his mother donated a life-size sculpture of him to his Daytona Beach high school. I hope someone has told her that pride is still a sin.
The Miami Heat Love America Waaaay More Than The Lakers And The Rest Of The NBA
Miami and Los Angeles are pretty much the same city, the difference being varying degrees of humidity. They're both star driven Metropolises with gorgeous people who either work in the city's main industries (entertainment, drugs) or are screwing them. So what is Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss' ...
Get to Know Brian Scalabrine
Brian Scalabrine is the Celtic that most fans love to hate. He is a hard working player that isn't necessarily good at anything but is a good "energy guy" and a good "locker room guy" according to Danny Ainge and most reports. He has been voted as one of the nicest guys in the league by his peers, but on a team loaded with more talented players, he is often...

The "Associated Press" reported Saturday that Lionel Hollins is expected to be named as the new head of the Memphis Grizzlies in a press conference on Sunday. He will replace former coach Mark Iavaroni, whose firing was announced earlier in the week. Assistant coach Johnny Davis is currently serving as interim head coach, until Hollins assumes the reins, the Grizzlies...

New Jersey Nets guard Jason Kidd tallied 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists in Tuesday night's loss to the Charlotte Bobcats. He's notched three straight triple doubles.

Mavs Meet Nets after Loss to Spurs
The Dallas Mavericks are about to meet Jason Kidd the New Jersey Nets for the first time this season. The Nets had a spotty record before their recent 10 game winning streak and they just lost to the San Antonio Spurs whom we have defeated once this season. The Mavericks have a great home record and ...

I believe we can do better.
Kevin Garnett led the assault with 26 points and 16 rebounds, as the Minnesota Timberwolves bested the New Jersey Nets. Garnett got some help from the bench in the form of rookie Rashad McCants who scored 21 points. It would be nice to see Minnesota play like that every night and I still believe they...
Not quite time for crystal balling.
I am really excited for the Miami Heat. They have been playing really well in the NBA Playoffs and it appears that they have the competitive edge to win this series against the New Jersey Nets. Is it possible that we could go all the way to the NBA Finals? I'll check back when we are in the Eastern Conference Finals. Then it will be time for predictions.
Devin Harris Video - Halfcourt Game Winner
Devin Harris of the New Jersey Nets had one of the most memorable
game winning shots of the 2009 NBA season. With his Nets down by a
point, Harris hit a shot from halfcourt at the fourth quarter buzzer to
beat the Philadelphia 76ers.
After the refs checked the video of the shot, the concluded that
Harris got off the halfcourt heave just in time. Watch the Devin Harris
video...
