Although Los Angeles Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro received a vote of confidence from Team Owner Donald Sterling and has been assured he will finish the season on the bench for the club earlier this week; unless the Clippers go deeper than expected in the Playoffs in the coming weeks, he will most likely be handed his walking papers once his team is eliminated from contention. Before Chauncey Billups was lost for the season due to injury; the team had enough talent that it basically ran itself, however Del Negro has shown that he is ill-equipped to use his players correctly; which has led to the slide the team has been on recently. The reason the Clippers Team Owner publicly endorsed his bench boss this week was due to published reports that Del Negro had lost the confidence and respect of his players. Sterling mused that he did not know how rumors like that get started. They get started because a player, assistant coach or another member of the team’s staff grumbles somethin...

Griffin needs to balance physicality and emotion

The Clippers know they need Blake Griffin to play the style Blake Griffin likes to play. But that bruising style can take a toll, and with teams more willing to put him on the court, Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro wants Griffin to keep a cool head. "It's a physical game out there," Del Negro said. "Blake's a physical player. I think he's done a very...

Clippers' owner, GM put out fire on Del Negro hot seat

It seems like everyone has written off Los Angeles Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro. After a 3-game losing streak, including a tough one at New Orleans, there were reports that Del Negro had lost the team and it’s not a question of “if” he gets fired, it's “when.” But hold your horses, Del Negro may have a longer leash than most people think. Despite the Clippers’...

Clippers happily cede hot seat back to Lakers

LOS ANGELES The 3-point shooting escapade of Andrew Bynum may not have pleased Lakers coach Mike Brown, but it appears to have sowed a seed of inspiration in lumbering big men to seek out their inner Ray Allen. Such was the case in the Clippers' locker room Wednesday night, when forward Reggie Evans approached center DeAndre Jordan. "We need to shoot at least 10 3'...
