Found January 16, 2013 on We Talk Fantasy Sports:
We have a sexy day of fantasy NBA tonight with ten games to tickle our pleasure. The value isn’t out there like usual, but with so many games going it’ll be easy to find enough guys to love tonight (that sounds kind of wrong, but we’ll move on).You Down with DMC? Yea You Know MeDeMarcus Cousins has been hot damn ballin like a big shot in the past 10 games. On Draftkings his price dropped back down to $8,600, but he’s still producing the same great results. In his past ten days, he is averaging 41 fantasy points while putting up a very nice double double line of 20 points and 10 rebounds.  He faces an Emeka Okafor led big man group which is pretty laughable. We are expecting big things from DMC on this Wednesday night. Are You Feeling Lucky Like Us?We’re rolling with two Celtics players tonight, both of which have solid matchups. Rajon Rondo has the best matchup for the Celtics tonight as they go up against the Hornets. Rondo will face the same defense that let Jrue Holiday put up monstrous numbers Tuesday night. Tonight Rondo looks to put up his third triple double in his last five games. He is a play that you start your lineup with and leave him there.Paul Pierce is our other Celtics player on the squad tonight. His price is pretty favorable across all sites, and has been very consistent as of late. He has gone for 32 or more in four of his last five games while going for over 50 in two of them. With Rondo on your lineup we like to think you’ll be “killing two birds with one stone” if you put Pierce on the team as well.Jameer’s Full NelsonLately Jameer Nelson has put up big time numbers and has made it easy on fantasy enemies to tap out. Can you say 30+ points a night in each of his last nine games? Can you say 40+ points in five of those games? Nelson can, and with tonight’s game being at home we really love this play as we see the Pacers being an average road team that is no longer defensively dominant especially on a back to back. The Stars of DallasThe crew of Dallas is built around two players who both have top notch matchups tonight. To lead it off, Dirk Nowitzki has a great matchup against Patrick Patterson and Marcus Morris. Do we think those two can slow down the 6’11 leg out jump shot? Hellllllllll no and you shouldn’t either. Those two power forwards are among the worst in the league in doing anything good defensively.OJ Mayo can never be considered unless one condition is met: is he playing at home? There’s a method to the madness and here’s why. He shoots much better at home which is huge for Draftday purposes. On the season he averages 20 points at home while averaging just a shade under 17 points on the road. He also shoots 5% better from the field and 7% better from behind the three point line. These are numbers you can’t ignore especially when he is facing the lowly Rockets.

Your Morning Dump..Where Rondo nets triple-double in new Nike basketball shoe

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Rajon Rondo dropped his 26th career triple-double last night with 17 pts, 12 assists & 10 boards in Boston’s 100-89 win over Charlotte. At first glance, they appeared to be the Nike Hyperdunk. Turns out he...

Rajon Rondo stars in latest ESPN SportsCenter commercial

I’m a blogger, so I have opinions on things that I don’t actually understand like advertising and commercials. Here are my thoughts:Positives:It’s Rajon Rondo. The whole “athletes wearing their uniforms to work” thing has always slayed me, for whatever reason.Steve Levy calling John Anderson “dude” is inexplicably funny to me too.Rondo’s double-take as Anderson is...

Video: Rajon Rondo stars in new SportsCenter commercial

Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo has really, really big hands. That is the message received after watching the latest "This is SportsCenter" commercial. After holding a team meeting, the SportsCenter crew makes it a point to shake Rondo's hands as they leave. Anchor Steve Levy advises colleague John Anderson not to look down when he shakes Rondo's hands. He...

The Triple Double King

Rajon Rondo was a man on a mission last night as he powered the C's to a 100-89 win over the Bobcats with 17 points, 10 boards and 12 dimes - his third triple-double of the season and 26th of his career (including playoffs).  Rondo's 26 triple-doubles ranks fourth among active players - behind only Jason Kidd (107), LeBron (41) and Grant Hill (29). At the pace at which...

Rajon Rondo records latest triple-double and gives credit to himself, the media, and Keyon Dooling

(h/t to WEEI’s Ben Rohrbach for the video)This was a typical Rondo post-game interview, with perhaps a little more sass, and there was certainly no smiling.  It seems like he is constantly trying to make reporters uncomfortable in a long standing power struggle between players and the media.  Mix some orneriness, with a dash of irritability, and sprinkle some justified and unjustified...

Cousins, Kings earn high-scoring win over Cavs

SACRAMENTO -- This was no time for Sacramento Kings coach Keith Smart to be picky. He and his team needed a victory, so although there was no domination, holding on for a 124-118 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night was just fine. An announced crowd of 12,194 at Sleep Train Arena watched DeMarcus Cousins lead the Kings with 26 points, 14 rebounds, six assists...

Beantown Beatdown

Here we see MKG and Rondo in a push-up contest.  MKG was the winner, completing 103 push-ups. Recently the Bobcats effort has been...lacking to say the least. But have no fear!  Up until this point, the Cats are 1-0 when I write the recap.  You're welcome guys. Would the Bobcats come out of the Garden with a W? Keep reading to find out...   ...

Dirk gets shut down by old-man security guard

It's pretty funny to see this guy's attempt at being a hard-ass without cracking a smile while Dirk dicks around with him. Being a Kings security guard can't be an easy task -- I'm sure they're always on high alert because DeMarcus Cousins could snap at any time and choke anyone in the building. It was pretty funny that both announcers noted the security guard...

Kings squeak by the Wizards 95-94

Numbers are deceptive. Sometimes numbers are not deceptive. Tonight, there are some really big deal type numbers, and well there are also some numbers that are probably not as big of a deal as they look like. First, look at minutes. 83: The combined amount of minutes DeMarcus Cousins and Tyreke Evans were on the floor tonight (Cousins had 43 of those). 62: Points in the paint...

Make Sure to Set a Reminder, Celtics-Bulls on ESPN.

(photo credit: Celticslife.com) Tomorrow night at 7 p.m the Boston Celtics will take on the Chicago Bulls at the TD Garden. After the loss to New Orleans on Wednesday, Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett are going to try to show the world why they were voted All-Stars during the prime-time exhibition game. The loss versus New Orleans broke the Celtics 5 game winning steak, so Doc Rivers...

Good enough: Boston Celtics beat Charlotte Bobcats 100-89

The Celtics don’t blow bad teams away.We know this by now. It has been the case since 2008 when the Hawks inexplicably took the Celtics to seven games in the first round of the playoffs. For whatever reason, whether it be motivation or something else, Boston just doesn’t blow out very many teams. Instead, they grind things out, lose a few games that they shouldn’t lose, and...

Celtics’ Trio Deserving of NBA All-Star Nods With Recent Hot Streak Proving Team’s Potential (Podcast)

NBA All-Star voting is underway, and the Celtics are finally playing like a team that has a couple of All-Stars on its roster. Despite a hiccup on Wednesday night against the New Orleans Hornets, the C’s appear to be pulling things together, thanks in large part to their current “Big Three” of Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce. While Avery Bradley‘s return to the...

Kings 124, Cavaliers 118

SACRAMENTO -- The Sacrament Kings didn't dominate, but they held on for a 124-118 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night at Sleep Train Arena before an announced crowd of 12,194. DeMarcus Cousins led the Kings (14-24) with 26 points, 14 rebounds and six assists. Marcus Thornton scored 20 off the bench, Tyreke Evans had 18, and reserve Jimmer Fredette added 16...
