Monday night the Pistons were looking to sweep multi-game road trip for the first time in five years when they traveled to Philadelphia to take on the 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center. However as Detroit was unable to put together four quality quarters of basketball the Pistons fell to Philadelphia 104-97 failing to take advantage of a strong inside game from Greg Monroe. Monroe, who played exclusively at center Monday night netted 22 points and seven rebounds. As Philadelphia scored the first 14 points out of the half Monroe was a spark for a lethargic Detroit squad starting a six point possession and cutting down Philadelphia’s lead to 60-55. From there the Pistons were able to keep things close but were unable to take advantage of prime opportunities to pull away from the 76ers. Late in the fourth quarter a Charlie Villanueva three-pointer tied the game at 91 a piece.
