No Guts, No Glory:
First, Indiana’s Paul George dunked over Roy Hibbert and Dahntay Jones which was okay. Then, he dunked with lights off while wearing a glow-in-the-dark jersey that was cute, I guess. Lastly, he dunked while sticking a Larry Bird sticker on the backboard after multiple attempts. And to George, and apparently his teammates, that should’ve been enough to take home the Dunk Contest crown. But he didn’t. And since he didn’t, he now thinks the Dunk Contest is a joke.Of course.“(Not to) take nothing away from the dunk contest, (but) it was a joke,” George said. “I guess whoever had the biggest celebrity involved in their dunk was going to be the winner. I guess I should have tried to reach out to some people.“If you leave it up to fans, they probably wouldn’t have known who Larry was. I think I was destined to lose it.”On one hand, George is right. The Dunk Contest is a joke. That much is evident. But it c’mon, Paul. Don’t be mad because more fans liked Jeremy Evans’ mildly entertaining dunk

Athletes tell lies. Agents tell damn lies. And sportswriters use statistics. It’s been three long weeks since Paul Pierce eased on by Larry Bird on the Boston Celtics career scoring list and tucked comfortably behind John Havlicek into second place – a moment that, although hastily swept away in the avalanche that is/was Linsanity, still [...]
Hey nice trick shot bro. Granted it was about 35 feet short of the hoop, just six feet off the ground, and drilled some girl in the face, but other than it was great. Best of all, you didn't even apologize to the her. You're truly a Larry Bird meets Romeo. But back to the girl, how about how unfazed she was by that? Rub some dirt on it and keep strolling through the gym like...

Paul George was a bit salty after losing out to Jeremy Evans in the Dunk Contest during All-Star Weekend, and says that the NBA’s biggest names need to inject new life into the increasingly irrelevant showcase. From the Indy Star: “Gorge dunked over teammates Roy Hibbert and Dahntay Jones with his first dunk. He wore a glow-in-the-dark uniform and shoes and made a dunk (that...
