Found September 01, 2012 on CLNS Radio:
As a fan of the Celtics, I was absolutely ecstatic and somewhat bewildered as to how Celtics’ President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge managed to pull off the 2007 blockbuster trade that brought Kevin Garnett and Benedict—Ray Allen to Boston in exchange for spare parts. This ingenious move by Ainge broke Boston’s 22-year championship drought, [...]

Why Bringing Keyon Dooling Back Was a Good Move

One of the reserves that Danny brought back from last season was Keyon Dooling. And, bringing Keyon back wasn't a last second decision because Danny told the rookies at the draft that #51 wasn't available when they were picking their numbers. Keyon had some good moments on the court last season, especially after Avery was injured but his stats don't exactly jump off...

Rajon Rondo Predicts Celtics Will Win NBA Championship, Beat Rockets 'Pretty Badly' When Jeremy Lin Comes to Boston

From declaring that he believes he is the best point guard in the NBA to disclosing his intention to retire as the greatest point guard in Celtics history, Rajon Rondo does not lack confidence. As his travels as part of the Red Bull tour swung through Hong Kong, Rondo had some more brash words. This time, Rondo was not making any individual boasts, but a team one. Rondo "expects...

Paul Pierce neck deep in beach sand

While Rajon Rondo is busy flying all over the Far East, Paul Pierce is taking a more relaxed approached to final  days of summer – beach time with his kids. The Truth tweeted these pictures yesterday afternoon. I’m guessing he’s somewhere in California and not Revere beach. Nothing screams fun like a crotch full of sand.

Rajon Rondo with greatest Celtic point guard in sites

The point guard has been touring all around Asia during the off-season, giving the farthest outskirts of Celtic Nation some love.  He recently sat down for an interview with Ethan Strauss of Bleacher Report, which if you have the time, is a great piece considering the usual private nature of RR.  As many do not have the time, here are some of the highlights:He is not the greatest...

Someone's Getting Traded

I'm an NBA realist.  So when the Celtics acquired Courtney Lee earlier this summer and knowing the track record Danny Ainge has, I'm pretty much guaranteeing that this roster the Celtics currently have won't be the one they finish the season with.  Danny's always trying to improve the Celtics and has proven in the past when he acquires enough trade chips, isn'...

Marquis Daniels Stays Working Hard

I was able to talk with Daniels back in ’09 and the guy is as humble and real as they come. Rare qualities in today’s NBA. You have to love the man’s work ethic and contribution to the game. Boston sure did. Keep gridin Quis.

Hall of Fame Travesty - Jo Jo White

With the Hall of Fame inductions in the news this week, it's time to mention what might be the biggest snub in all of history. The Hall finally righted the wrong that had been done to Dennis Johnson, although too late for him to enjoy it. Now, it's time to call attention to an even bigger travesty. Jo Jo White is not in the Hall of Fame. The case for White to be inducted...

Your Morning Dump… Where Rondo says the revamped Lakers have done nothing yet

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. The Celtics guard was somewhat skeptical about the new lineup of another rival team, the L.A. Lakers, who now feature stars Dwight Howard and Steve Nash alongside Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. Rondo said they’ve...
