The Atlanta Hawks' injury carousel keeps turning. Al Horford and Zaza Pachulia won't play Wednesday against Charlotte, according to Hawks beat writer Chris Vivlamore. Horford is day-to-day with a sore hamstring and calf. Pachulia is being hampered by a sore Achilles tendon. However, Devin Harris and DeShawn Stevenson did return to practice, Vivlamore reported. Harris left Saturday's game with an ankle sprain. Harris is expected to play. Ivan Johnson will likely get the start. He carries no fantasy value right now.

State of the Hawks, in the wake of Lou Williams' absence

Prior to Lou Williams' season-ending knee injury, the Hawks likely had enough talent and depth at guard to flourish in the East. What might be the impact of Williams' absence? Lous injury will obviously impact the offensive output, not just from his numbers but the bench, as a whole. When a player is that creative and productive, he opens up the floor for his teammates...

Ivan Johnson double-doubles in start for Al Horford

Ivan Johnson, possibly the most terrifying man in the NBA, started for Al Horford (sore hamstring) Wednesday, much to the chagrin of the Charlotte Bobcats. The Hawks won 104-92, and Johnson was a factor, double-doubling in 32 minutes. Seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if the 'Cats were too terrified to rebound against Johnson, who is banned from the Korean basketball league...

Smith leads depleted Hawks past Bobcats, 104-92

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Atlanta Hawks are terribly short-handed these days, but it didn't seem to matter on Wednesday night. The injury-depleted Hawks got big-time production from Josh Smith and major contributions from several others, and the result was a 104-92 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats. Smith finished with 30 points -- one shy of his season high -- plus 13 rebounds...

Josh Smith had 30 points and 13 rebounds, and the Atlanta Hawks snapped a six-game road losing streak with a 104-92 win Wednesday night over the Charlotte Bobcats. Kyle Korver added 21 points on 5-of-6 shooting from beyond the 3-point arc as the Hawks sent the Bobcats to their 16th straight home loss, three shy of the NBA record. Smith finished two assists shy of a triple-double...

Hawks-Bobcats Preview

The injury-plagued Atlanta Hawks remain in position for a playoff berth halfway through the season but would love to snap out of their funk on the road. A visit to Charlotte would appear an ideal way to end those woes, but the Hawks don't plan on overlooking the Bobcats even though they've lost 15 straight at home. While trying to snap a six-game road losing streak, Atlanta...

Celtics-Hawks Preview

A poor third quarter doomed the Atlanta Hawks against the Boston Celtics at home earlier this month. The Celtics wouldn't mind a repeat performance in order to avoid their longest slide in nearly six years. The Hawks may have a key contributor back as they look for a more complete effort in another meeting with the Celtics on Friday night. Atlanta (24-18) was eliminated in...
