According to USA Today, Amar’e Stoudemire wants Steve Nash in New York next season. Nash will be an unrestricted free agent next season and he will likely be looking for an opportunity to contend for an NBA championship.
When asked about Nash, Amar’e had this to say:
“Everyone knows that Steve loves New York and that New York loves Steve,” Stoudemire told the New York Daily News. “I love Steve. It would be great to have him here next year.”
The Knicks are expected to retain free agent Jeremy Lin with their mid-level exception, so prying impending free agent Steve Nash would be tricky. The Knicks have a glaring need and point guard, so they will be certain to at least reach out to Nash.
