This past week in Spain I visited Club Joventut Badalona at Palau Olímpic. It is the same arena that the 1992 Dream Team played in, and there has been little to none renovations made to it. Joventut is recently most known for being home to Ricky Rubio before he sold out to their arch-rival, F.C. Barcelona. Fans in Badalona are still very bitter about it. Rubio was on the professional team at the age of 14, debuted at 16, and left at 19 while Joventut was left behind in the dust. Since the departure of  Rubio, Joventut has been financially struggling, especially now. Most of their sponsor revenue comes from FITC and other local sponsors. But in a creative attempt to gain more money through signage, Joventut now houses the best advertisement I’ve ever seen. This is what happens when fruit juice company and basketball padding collide. Just makes you want a juice box From what I could make out of the english translation, the director of marketing for the club stated that the juice company, Bi frutas, came to them first with the idea, and in their current situation with nothing to lose, they went with it. To save you some Google time Corey Fisher (Villanova), Moses Ehambe (Oral Roberts), and Manny Quezada (Rutgers, San Francisco) are the three American players for the Club. -Schotz
