No Guts, No Glory:
Mike Brown has turned into a benching machine lately. First, he benched Kobe Bryant on Sunday which he doesn’t regret one bit and last night, he unleashed his benching powers on Andrew Bynum. With 10:05 left in the 3rd quarter of the Lakers’ 104-101 win over the Warriors, Bynum found himself with the ball at the top of the key. And instead of passing it, as he probably should always do, Bynum launched a three pointer that predictably he missed. The next thing he knows, Josh McRoberts is coming in to take his place in the lineup and he’s stuck on the bench for the rest of the quarter. But did that shake Bynum?Of course not.“I made one [Sunday], and I felt good about it, shot it; he took me out for it,” Bynum said, referring to the 3-pointer he made from the top of the key at the end of the game in the Lakers’ 102-96 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. It was the first successful 3-pointer of his career. “I don’t know what was bench-worthy about the shot, to be honest with you. I made one [ag...

One of the difficult duties of a coach is to manage the egoes of his players, more especially the big stars. Having the likes of Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum on your side doesn’t make things easy by any stretch of imagination. You actually have got your work well cut out for you.

Andrew Bynum is lucky to have ducked the brunt of this blow, because it would’ve been a rather devastating one. Rudy Gay had his hammer cocked and ready, and Bynum recognized at the last possible moment. Well, almost… he didn’t quite escape from the frame in time to dodge a Poster of the Day (Rudy’s third this season, good enough to tie him up for first place!).
LOS ANGELES The 3-point shooting escapade of Andrew Bynum may not have pleased Lakers coach Mike Brown, but it appears to have sowed a seed of inspiration in lumbering big men to seek out their inner Ray Allen.
Such was the case in the Clippers' locker room Wednesday night, when forward Reggie Evans approached center DeAndre Jordan.
"We need to shoot at least 10 3'...
