The Heat had their chances Thursday night against Chicago, but yet again find themselves on the wrong end of a showdown with an elite team. They let a strong lead go late in the fourth quarter and were unable to find their way back dropping a win following Boston’s shock loss to Denver.
James had 29 points 10 rebounds 5 assists and one of the worst attempts at a game tying 3 I have seen .
Wade had 34 points and 8 rebounds and made one of the worst defensive plays I have ever seen from an ‘All NBA Defender’ leaving the corner man and in form shooter Luol Deng wide open to help LeBron guard Rose when LeBron has 6 inches on the Chicago point guard and was on his inside.
As a Cavaliers fan this is all too familiar. Perhaps winning on Christmas Day against the Lakers, but losing to Boston, Dallas, Chicago and the other big teams around the league is all too common and something that creates doubt when the playoffs come around.
The Heat are 10x the team Cleveland was, perhaps not the same energy or chemistry, but talent wise its not even a conversation. Yet the same problems are becoming prevalent and it needs to change or they will suffer the same fate.
