With each passing day and each report, it seems that we are getting closer and closer to Dwight Howard being traded to the Brooklyn Nets. And while it seems that the Mavericks and Lakers have come to the realization that they probably won’t get a deal done, Atlanta’s Danny Ferry has decided to see if he can swoop in and make a deal. According to the AJC’s Michael Cunningham, Ferry has reached out the Magic in hopes to swing a deal that would bring Dwight Howard back to his hometown of Atlanta. The Hawks have engaged the Magic in trade talks involving Howard, according to a person with knowledge of the discussions. That person did not want to be identified because the teams involved have not discussed the negotiations publicly. The Hawks could offer Orlando better players than the Nets.
