Recently Baron Davis was on “The Champs Podcast” talking about a wide range of topics. One of those topics was his alien abduction. At first the hosts of the podcast thought he was joking, but Davis told the guys that he was not telling a tall tale.
According to Davis the event happened about two weeks ago. He told the hosts, “I was, um, on my way from Vegas here to L.A. I’m a little tired and s— and I see this light and I think it’s a big-a– truck. Then next thing you know, dude, like, I was in this f—— steel thing.”
Baron kept dropping f-bombs to make bring the point home that he was not kidding he said that, “these f—— crazy-looking people” who were “half-human, half, like, f—–, ugly motherf——.”
Davis was known in the locker room to be a practical joker. So maybe he was just trying to see if he could pull a fast one of the hosts of “The Champs Podcast.” He tweeted late Friday night: “that alien thing is a joke.”
Yet hosts Neal Brennan and Moshe Kasher pressed the Davis even after the podcast was over to see if Davis was just trying to keep the joke going during the interview. Davis told the guys after the interview that it really did happen. One of the hosts said, “We don’t know if you’re being serious or not.”
“Dude, they were poking me on my nose and s—,” Davis continued, “They were poking me on my nose and they were, like, looking me in my eyes. They had my hands like, tied up and the next thing you know, I was f—— in Montebello, dude, burning rubber on the way back to L.A. It was like four o’clock in the morning. I just got off at the next exit.”
Davis also told the hosts, “I come back and like, I’m sharper and s—. You know what I mean? I’m retaining information.”
On the podcast Davis, who now works for the New York Knicks as a community representative, said he has a book coming out about his alien experience. So is this just Davis keeping up with the joke or does he really believe that the alien abduction took place? Well if we see Davis’ book on the New York Times best seller list we will have our answer.
Here is some of the audio from his interview on “The Champs Podcast.”
