Driving into the AT&T Center, there was the usual array of fans dawning the silver and black jerseys tonight. Although instead of some of the number three jerseys showing the last name “Jackson,” tonight a few said “Hill.”
George Hill, who was drafted and began his career in San Antonio, is back in the Alamo City as the Indiana Pacers (2-1) prepare to face the Spurs (3-0).
It was known that Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich once called Hill his “favorite” player, but today Hill’s current coach, Frank Vogel, appreciates having Hill in the Pacer blue.
“I love George as much as Pop does, probably more,” said Vogel, “if that’s possible. He’s a great team first guy, a great leader. I love that he plays both ends at such a high level, (yet) he’s one of the best defensive point guards in the league as well.”

Gerald Green throws down vicious slam
Andy FlintIndiana Pacers’ high-flyer, Gerald Green jams home a huge slam against the Spurs during Monday night’s action in San Antonio. Green’s big play came with about 1:20 left in the first quarter and brought the Pacers to within four points of the Spurs. The swingman (Green) clocked 26 minutes and finished the game with 9 points and 8 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough as...
Danny Granger vs Rudy Gay
Andy Flint
Danny Granger of the Indiana Pacers and Rudy Gay of the Memphis Grizzlies are of the NBA’s best small forwards, but for every similarity between the two has a corresponding difference. The older Granger has an All-Star appearance, while Gay does not. Granger’s game is a bit more subtle, while Gay relies more on his tremendous athleticism. Both fill the stat sheet and...
Pacers-Hawks Preview
The Indiana Pacers haven't impressed on the offensive end with Danny Granger sidelined, but they're getting plenty of rebounds and second-chance points to go along with their hard-nosed defense.
That might cause problems for the Atlanta Hawks if Josh Smith is out again.
Playing its fifth game in eight nights, Indiana will try to avoid losing in Atlanta for the 10th straight...
Pacers 106, Kings 98, 2OT
George Hill scored 18 points including the first four in the second overtime Saturday night, and that was all Indiana's staunch defense needed to close out a 106-98 double overtime victory over Sacramento.

Pacers no match against well-oiled Spurs
I'm not gonna bother with a long recap. Right now, the Indiana Pacers are simply no match for the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs are just smoother, more co-ordinated, more efficient and better at both ends of the floor right now, and it showed in the 101-79 drubbing they gave to the Pacers on Tuesday.None of the Pacers played well, but that's probably because the Spurs didn...
Spurs hold Pacers under 80 points, win by 22
“They’re a well-oiled machine, particularly on the offensive end, but they brought a great deal of energy on the defensive end tonight and it was too much for us to overcome.”
That was Indiana Pacers head coach Frank Vogel after his team was defeated by 22-points at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs who have set a franchise record in their team history with a 4-0 start...
5 things to watch: Spurs vs. Pacers
The San Antonio Spurs (3-0) will look to make it four wins in a row tonight as they host the Indiana Pacers (2-1) tonight at the AT&T Center. San Antonio is coming off a win over the Utah Jazz while Indiana is coming off a double-overtime win against the Sacramento Kings. Tonight's game will also be a home coming of sorts for for mer Spur George Hill. Hill was part of the...
