The Philadelphia 76ers avoided a three game losing skid, defeating the Clippers 104-94, Wednesday night in Los Angeles. Also, it was the NBA’s favorite Kia leaping superstar, Blake Griffin’s, birthday. Well, the Sixers came bearing gifts. The Sixers played perhaps their most emotionally charged half of basketball, finishing off the Clippers in the 2nd half. After some questionable foul calls, including a flagrant foul on Tony Battie, and some immature whining by Blake Griffin, Sixers head coach Doug Collins was ejected. Collins took one for his team, showing them, like he has all season long, that he has their backs. The team responded in the 2nd half, playing solid defense, and running the floor on the offensive side, wearing out the young Clippers. Picking a stand-out for this game is very difficult.
