TEAMS: Charlotte Bobcats, Orlando Magic
ORLANDO - When you win as rarely as the Charlotte Bobcats have recently, it's easy to appreciate the wins you do get, and especially ones like this. The lowly Bobcats looked like a good team again, snapping a five-game losing streak and rolling to a well-played, 106-100 victory over the Orlando Magic Friday night. The Bobcats, who had lost 24 of their previous 26 games, got 25 points and eight assists from promising point guard Kemba Walker, and never trailed through the final three periods. "It feels good. It always feels good to go out and get a win," Walker said. "We're a young team that is getting better every night out. You win like this, you try and incorporate the things you learned into the next game and get better. We got stops. We pushed the tempo. We want to do the same thing the next time." The Bobcats (10-29) outrebounded the Magic 43-36. They committed just 11 turnovers. They outplayed the Magic through much of the game. They ...

Kemba Walker's stellar second season continues, double-doubles Saturday
Kemba Walker's second-year surge continued Saturday night. The Charlotte Bobcats guard double-doubled with 14 points and 10 assists. The former UCONN Huskie added a three-pointer, four steals and four rebounds.
His Achilles heel continues to be his shooting. He made just six-of-17 shots in a loss to the Sacramento Kings Saturday and he's making 43.1 percent of his shots...
Warrick, What He Isn’t Good For: Closing Out Games
I should first say that I’m totally in favor of playing Hakim Warrick over Tyrus Thomas whenever it’s humanly possible, and probably also when it’s possible for cyborgs, androids, mutants, Vulcans, Terminators, Robocops, UniSols, replicants, and robots with human brains. Thomas has been an abject failure for the Bobcats, and Warrick is better than him [...]
Bobcats Fans Pathetically Really Excited About Latest Win
This is how pitiful I am: anytime the Bobcats have a lead in the fourth quarter, I start calculating how soon they could theoretically win if they did nothing except commit 24-second violations for the rest of the game. Then I’ll start changing variables, like how fast the other team scores and whether they shoot [...]

Charlotte Bobcats want Rudy Gay, Orlando could help facilitate trade
The Charlotte Bobcats are "aggressively" pursuing
Rudy Gay, but they "may not have enough," according Hoopsworld publisher Steve Kyler. And Kyler reports that he wouldn't be surprised to see the Orlando Magic play facilitator in getting Gay out of Memphis.

With college basketball season hitting the conference schedule, scouts are starting to flock to college arenas and scout the talent that will be matriculating into the NBA for the Draft next year.
