Found May 04, 2013 on Jocks and Stiletto Jill:
Oh Boston Celtics fans. In the first quarter of Friday night’s Game 6 match up, the Celtics fans started a chant trying to get into the head of Knicks star Carmelo Anthony. Yes, those were “Honey Nut Cheerios” chants you heard. In the end though, it didn’t even matter Knicks finally move on to round two of the playoffs after 13 years.   The Knicks almost blew the lead in the fourth quarter with the Celtics staging an incredible comeback but in the end, it was too little too late. Melo ended the night with 21 points. And fittingly, this will probably be the last time we see Celtics Kevin Garnett playing professionally. Breakfast food slander voided! video via BTB

C's fans chant 'Honey Nut Cheerios' at Carmelo

During Game Six of the 2013 Eastern Conference NBA playoff game between the Celtics and Knicks, the fans at Boston’s TD Garden began taunting Carmelo Anthony with a chant of “Honey Nut Cheerios”. This chant is, of course, in reference to comments Kevin Garnett “allegedly” made about Carmelo’s wife, LaLa Vazquez. Good ol’ Boston, keeping it classy. Article found on...

Celtics fans Taunt Carmelo Anthony by Chanting “Honey Nut Cheerios” (Video)

Well it seems like the people of Boston have recovered from the bombing tragedy that shocked the city some weeks ago, and are ready to reclaim their antagonistic status in pro sports. During the first quarter of Game 6 of the Boston Celtics first round playoff match up against the New York Knicks, the fans at TD Bank Garden, joined in the unified taunting of Carmelo Anthony, by...

Celtics fans chant “Honey Nut Cheerios” at Carmelo Anthony

Back in January, Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett made the term “Honey Nut Cheerios” into a whole new thing after he spent some time trash-talking Carmelo Anthony about his wife, La La Vazquez. Flash-forward to today, Celtics fans decided to serenade Carmelo with those exact words as he made his way to the Knicks bench area during game six of their first-round playoff series...

Knicks, Pacers struggling with isolation

Carmelo Anthony did not have a "hot spot" on the floor against the Celtics. The New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers will renew their postseason rivalry beginning with Game 1 on Sunday at 3:30 ET on ABC. This marks the seventh postseason meeting all-time between the Pacers and Knicks. The teams split the previous six meetings, 3-3. The interesting thing about this matchup...

Carmelo Anthony Admits Wife Should Be Upset

After Jordan Crawford allegedly made a derogatory comment about his wife LaLa, Carmelo Anthony admitted his celebrity spouse has every right to be upset over being brought up repeatedly. "I would be upset too if I were her," Anthony said on Friday. "She always gets thrown into the mix of the Boston Celtics series. So I would be upset. She's her own person and...

Not that this comes to a surprise, Carmelo Anthony’s wife LaLa, has gone to her Instagram account to respond to Jordan Crawford. Love it LaLa.  Let him know he’s nothin’ but a bench warmer. The post LaLa Responds To Jordan Crawford appeared first on Total Sports Blog.

Should Chris Paul Be Considered The “Carmelo Anthony Of The West”?

Chris Paul is 13-15 in the first round (through 5/1/13) and 16-23 overall in his four playoff appearances during his eight-season career. He’s only made it out of the first round TWICE  and has never made a conference final. Only once has he lead a team to a seed higher than five and that year The post Should Chris Paul Be Considered The “Carmelo Anthony Of The West”? appeared...

Boston deserves a Celtics win now

On Wednesday, Carmelo Anthony and his band of knuckleheads dressed in all black for the "funeral" of the Boston Celtics, their first-round playoff opponent, despite the tactlessness of such a gesture two weeks after the Boston Marathon bombings. So today let's clad ourselves in green and cheer for the Celtics -- and for some karma to catch up with the Knicks. Friday...

Celtics Showing J.R. Smith, Carmelo Anthony That Teamwork Will Win Out If Knicks Give Them Opening

What the Celtics have needed all season is to come together as a team, to move the ball and make the most of their talent, to not fall into ruts where other teams can feast on their weaknesses. For many stretches this year, the Celtics could not do that. Then, even after they discovered how to play in such a way after losing Rajon Rondo to a season-ending injury, they stumbled again...

Jordan Crawford continues taunting Carmelo Anthony, clearly not a representation of the Boston Celtics!

I've found myself questioning why Danny Ainge would bring Jordan Crawford to Boston. The Boston Celtics are a franchise that prides themselves on great players who take responsibility for their actions both on, and off the court. As the Celtics made a decision to stay away from the pompous taunting tirades of their immature opponents, the seldom used Jordan Crawford shows his...

MIAMI (AP) -- The writer who did not choose LeBron James of the Miami Heat as the NBA's Most Valuable Player believes Carmelo Anthony "meant more to his team" this season. Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe says Anthony made the New York Knicks relevant again by leading them to their first division title in nearly two decades. Washburn's explanation was published...

Knicks survive Celtics, win series

Carmelo Anthony scored 21 points and the New York Knicks held on after blowing most of a 26-point lead to beat the Boston Celtics 88-80 in Game 6 on Friday night and advance in the postseason for the first time since 2000. Iman Shumpert scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half, when the Celtics cut a 75-49 deficit to four points. But Anthony made a jumper to give New York an...
