The Boston Celtics have been trying to replace the void left by James Posey since he left town after the Celtics won the NBA title in 2008. The Celtics just have not found a player that could play both forward spots at the defensive end and stretch the floor on offense. The Celtics just might be able to land James Posey one more time as boston.com’s Gary Washburn is reporting that Posey’s agent Mark Bartelstein will talk to Celtics president Danny Ainge about the Celtics’ interest in the recently waived Posey.
Posey may not be the same player that he was in 2008, but he would not be that bad an option off the Celtics bench. However, rumors of the complete collapse of his skills are exagerated. I believe that in the Celtics system that Posey might be able to revive his career.
