In Boston and all over the country, people have taken notice of the Celtics’ fantastic play without their All Star point guard, Rajon Rondo. Now many are wondering if they are a better team without him. This is not true, as rest of the team has simply stepped up into bigger roles to try and make up for the loss of Rondo. But after proving that they can win without him, should they trade him in the off-season to try and improve the roster? No. It is one of the hardest things in sports to find a superstar player in the NBA and when you have one in his prime, signed to a bargain of a deal, you keep him, without any doubt whatsoever. Rondo is the best distributor in the NBA and runs this offense to perfection and there is no reason to trade him, as he is still the future of this franchise. Rondo was averaging nearly two assists more than the next highest passer in the league and is one of the best defensive players at his position in the NBA.
