Grit, Grind, GRIZZ!:
Marc Gasol posted 19 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists in the Grizzlies’ win over the Sacramento Kings.
Hmm . . . that’s two promising if not totally convincing road wins in a row. Not only that, but the WAY in which these first two games agains the Lakers and the Kings were won speaks volumes. Let’s breakdown the box . . . . and to show the remarkable resemblance between these two games, I’ll quote the Lakers Breakdown, point by point:
Minutes: Here’s some of what I wrote about the Lakers win: “…heavy minutes for the team’s main guys. This seems to be a return to the substitution pattern that Joerger followed in the Golden State win — playing your starters heavy minutes because they give you the best chance to win. Will we see that for the remainder of this road trip? Sacramento is up next. . .” Well, Sacramento saw plenty of it. All starters logged about 30 minutes, with Gasol and Conley clocking in at nearly 40 minutes.
Rebounding: In the Lakers win, the Grizzlies dominated the b...

When the Memphis Grizzlies lost in a 103-87 blowout to the Toronto Raptors, the team was left searching for answers on defense. Tony Allen says that everyone knows where the focus should be — on the defensive end. But executing that plan is another matter . . .

Talk about luck.
Grizzlies' Zach Randolph probably did not call this shot before it went in. You know the, "go for the rebound, tap the ball with your hand without securing it and hit it in the air with your back to the rim as the ball sinks into the bucket" shot.
Check out Z-Bo's wild circus shot versus the Lakers.
Getting away from home and bonding on the road has done wonders for the Memphis Grizzlies.
After causing a bit of anxiety with their fan base because of inconsistent play, the Griz have navigated through tough terrain and seemingly found smooth pavement.

The refs original called it a Flagrant 1 but after video review it was turned into a Flagrant 2.

The Lakers played well tonight, but they were beaten by a very hot – and very lucky – Zach Randolph.
During the first quarter, Randolph scored what must have been one of the luckier baskets in NBA history. He had an offensive rebound fall into his hands, but ended up juggling it like a hot potato. As he tried to regain control, he hit the ball with his left hand –...
Less than five minutes into the third quarter, the Kings had tested coach Michael Malone’s patience to the point that he benched most of his starting lineup.
Except for forward Luc Mbah a Moute, the starters were done for the night.
Malone said he wasn’t trying to send a message. He was trying to win a game. But that didn’t happen, with the Kings falling to the Memphis Grizzlies...
